Well I can't win for losing then can I..... I still don't get it. What spread? Who is making a "spread"? Calpreps prediction?

No, the "spread" is how far you were off the actual score at the end of the game. Mater Dei beat St. Frances by 16, so that is your target number. If you picked Mater Dei by 6, you were off by 10 points, so you get 10 points subtracted from your 30 points for picking the winner correctly.
I picked St. Frances by 5. So I get 0 points for not picking the winner, and -21 points for being that far off the actual score = -21.

Nice selection of games this week MDDad, and thanks for doing the pool! Yes much gratitude to running the pool MDDad! Yet suggestion, and/or question...., do we alway have to include a Thursday game? Lets say if they are all such mismatches on paper. Orange at Westminster for example is only betting/predicting if a coach will run up a score and not rest his starters in the second half. Not sure what games like this tells us in our standings as prognosticators but simply "Best Guessers". I know if I don't like it b*tch at Bick he approved it, this point thing! Suggestion, likely too late but the EL MO - EL DO looks competitive based on last years 2 point game. feel free to throw F-Bombs my way for rocking the MO !! |

SK, I try to pick games involving teams in the top 15 or 20 in the county, because they generally have the most interest. If everyone agrees, next week I can start picking the 15 CLOSEST games. Then the bloodbath will really start.
