FN Mo Fo Furious at this game! Zebra chime in please! What is this? Apologies for the frustration babble from Davidson Field last night but in all my HSF life and you all can guess how many decades that is, have I seen a flag frenzy on one team. Our statistician handed coach the number, 16 penalties for 160 yards against the Sea Kings.

I would agree that it wasn't that close but by no means was it a blowout.
CDM was only up 21-14 at halftime however, I was disappointed in how SC came out after halftime with giving up yet another TD and then having a blocked punt for a TD which put the game away at 35-14 with 7 minutes left in the 3Q. But again, the SC offense answered to make it 35-21 but then AGAIN the CDM offense did what they do best-score to make it 42-21 early 4Q and then the SC offense couldn't muster anything else.
I expected more from the SC defense after all they have been getting a lot of media respect for only giving up a total of 53 points combined in the first 5 games.
I was impressed with Garbers ability to keep plays alive with his pocket awareness and scrambling ability while keeping his eyes on his receivers. There was multiple times that he could have been brought down but he made things happen.
As far as the refs, SC had 120 yards of penalties as well. To say the zebras were one sided and that the they prevented anything more would be silly. The call against Humphreys late in the first half was questionable but remember CDM got in that position because of a push off by Humphreys for a 60 yard catch. Again, calls were both ways all night, whether it was good or bad calls depended on what color shirt you were wearing Thursday.
CDM should win CIF and the Sunset league. SC has a tough challenge next week against a good Tesoro team and that game should determine 2nd place in the SCL.
Again, impressed with CDM and good luck to anybody who tries to slow down their offense.

Both defense pitched a shutout in the 2nd half. Servite offense will need to clean up some things soon. Two Red Zone opportunities to go up two scores in the 2nd half netted a missed FG and an interception in the end zone that gave Notre Dame a chance to come back with 5 minutes remaining. Thankfully the defense pulled through in the end. One of the better road wins in some time.

Curious now in you point making here how SC had 120 yards of penalties on just 6 penalties? CDM had 16 penalties to SC's 6. CDM had 153 yards walked off against them and a TD taken away.

You are also going off of Maxpreps who has incorrect stats. For example, Schlom had a 50? yard TD catch, did he not? Maxpreps doesn't have it as a TD. While it might not have been 120 yards of penalties for SC, crying foul for penalties is ridiculous. CDM had penalties that were self-inflicted like jumping offsides, delay of game, not having 7 on the LOS, these are things that have to be called. However, I can see how you would think that the penalties were one-sided, especially with CDM being your team. Regardless CDM is good and they beat SC even with the refs against you. It will take a special team to beat CDM this year. Good luck the rest of the way. I wish you guys would play Mission as I think that that is the best public school matchup this year but they'll lose in the SEMIS of D1 and CDM will win CIF in D3.

@notas
Not crying about the 16 penalties in the least. Simply made the point whether refs were biased or CDM self inflicted without that imbalance the game was not as close as the scoreboard indicated. O' Shea even in his post game interview took responsibility that it is an issue after a game like that and it can't happen again. He also stated that the last 2 (of 3) SC TD's were results of those penalties.
That aside, CDM put 42 points on the board, had over 500 yards, (518 Total, 552 Total) and their QB was 32 0f 41 .780 % w/ 4 TD's. This was against a top 20 California State team that was 5-0 and had average a total of 10 points against in its 5 wins.
Thanks for pointing out the Schlom omission. Sure he is not going to be happy about that!
And thanks for the encouragemnet going the rest of the way..... one game at a time.

Stats on MaxPreps is what is reported by the team. Each team has someone responsible for reporting stats to MaxPreps. Therefore, whomever entered SC's numbers either made a mistake or the numbers are accurate.

yeah, it is odd. For three weeks, they didnt have anything. then they had their defensive stats up, followed by the offense a few days later. Expect to wait a couple more weeks. lol

Rocky almost beats Apollo Creed.
Bosco escaped--yes escaped--with a one point win. Closest any team from California other than MD and Corona Centennial has come to beating Bosco since 2012. I'll bet the Braves haven't punted this many times in a game in seven years. If Servite could kick PATs we just might have won tonight. Still processing this. Not sure how this game was so close, since talent alone says Bosco is at least a 4-TD favorite. An earthquake in the Trinity League. Negro better step up his game or he will get steamrolled by Mater Dei.
While Bosco takes away the "W", something more important was lost: the vaunted Bosco intimidation factor died tonight.
