I will just mention, we have a local station, WJBC, that has a “High School Football Extravaganza” every Friday night, starting at 6:00 PM, with coverage of local games starting at 7:00 PM... we’re 2 hours ahead of you guys.
We cover one local game, play by play, with updates on the other games in the area every quarter hour. I realize you guys are really only interested in your local HS programs, but if you get a spare moment, tune into WJBC.com at 5:00, your time and follow along. I sometimes get to do score updates, but we have a FT Sports director driving the show.
Just thought I’d mention it.

Big win for Servite 34-21, and the game was not even as close as that; easily could have been 45-14, but we'll take it, especially after JSerra has eaten our lunch for the past 5 seasons. With all due respect to Pat Harlow, the Lions looked very unimpressive on the offensive side of the ball. One of JSerra's three scores came on an 80-yard TD run, with another on a blocked punt. Otherwise they pretty much struggled to move the ball. Noah Fifita outplayed General Booty and the Lions has absolutely no fire in the belly.
If things play out to form this likely puts us in the D-1 playoffs with a possible matchup against Mission Viejo or Corona Centennial.

Nice win for the Friars. I definitely over-rated JSerra
As you noted, Credo, you're likely looking at a first round berth v one of the top 3 instead of competing for a ring in D2 that JS will be in the mix for.

Nice win for Servite who played very well. What a difference a week makes! I agree the game was not as close as the score. The JSerra offense continues to be the biggest disappointment so far this season. Servite is going to be a tough out in the playoffs for anybody not named MD or Bosco (yes I know Bosco beat them by only 1 point). A potential first round game against Mission is brewing which I would very much love to see.

F-Bomb F-Bomb F-Bomb  I handicapped this game over and over giving Servite a 6-9 point edge. I was only hesitant on the 1 or 2 possession pick. UNTIL..... I spoke at length with my MD mole who talked me into JS by argument of size upfront. F-Bomb F-Bomb F-Bomb !!! Im never again listening to a MD mole over my Ukrainian secret agent  Congrats Comrades Credos

It's doubtful this loss will drop JSerra out of the top eight, so they will likely remain in the D-1 playoffs. With that said, watching them in person last night, and another two times on the internet, they are one of the more overrated teams I've seen in several years. They have NO passing game, which allows opponents to key on Street. I think he must have had fewer than 25 yards last night. Truly a shockingly disappointing offense for a #3 team in the county. |

I'm thinking the powers that be will place a league champ in the top 8 over the 4th or 5th place Trinity team. The optics would be pretty bad otherwise.

I had Servite winning this one by 17. Not afraid of JSerra's O-line play. Servite had no issues with the Bosco O-line.
JSerra needs to find a QB. They have great talent for 2020 and the O-line will continue to get better with the addition of Ross Maseuli.
Booty just the guy.
Hope to see Bosco/Servite round 2.
