I could've helped myself and refrained from posting any more bashing...but I didn't. Apparently, it hasn't occurred to Ms. Milano the Chinese shown protesting want the freedom from Socialism / Communism her ilk is rabidly pandering. I think Piper froze her brain.

Interesting side note: I found that Alyssa Milano tweet on Twitter and retweeted it with the comment you said, that those protesters are Chinese, protesting the socialism or communism she and her friends are promoting...

The liberal left is as phony as a three-dollar bill. Here's another example:
I spent some time this past weekend reading a lot about drug overdoses, the opioid epidemic and fentanyl and came across some curious anomalies. In 2018 and 2019, 166 people have been killed in mass shootings in the United States, so the left is naturally apoplectic about the immediate need for tighter gun control laws to stop this unacceptable carnage. Yet in 2018 alone, 72,000 Americans died from drug overdoses. 49,000 of those were from opioids, and 29,000 of those 49,000 were from fentanyl, primarily manufactured in China and pouring across our southern border from Mexico. Yet not a word from the left in protest of an organized, methodical campaign that kills 200 Americans a day. I guess people getting shot is just a much sexier cause for self-righteous phonies.

We've hit it all wrong. AOC has preternatural ability to play a sublime inside outside game to move her agenda. I guess it's never occurred to me to use those 2 words to describe anything AOC... preternatural or sublime.

Given that overdoses, while tragic, are largely self-inflicted and shootings generally aren't...do you suppose that might explain the outrage felt by many people over the number of shootings? BTW, according to most media sources, most of the Fentanyl that comes into this country from China comes through the mail, not across the southern border as you claimed. |

That's exactly the point, VP. Almost all the attention and outrage over the number of shootings is directed at those 166 mass shooting deaths, while the other almost 40,000 firearm deaths every year are ignored. It's a sexy hot-button with a ton of emotional heft that the left is using to focus its assault (no pun intended) on the 2nd Amendment, even though it represents only 0.4% of the problem.

Irrelevant obfuscation... fentanyl deaths are STILL perpetrated by others on a population. would you feel better and not advocate gun control if people knew they would die if they went to the movies? Let's break it down politically (which it mainly is), it justifies a means to an end. It's the lefts tactic or weapon (pun intended) to lessen the power of the NRA which is a big proponent of the Second Amendment and by the right also being a proponent it get much political funding from the organization. The left is rarely concerned about the root of th problem, the social problems which they claim so much to be warriors for. If they really cared like MDDad said the news would be smattered and splattered (pun again intended) with the killing in the likes of Baltimore and Chicago. They are not. Only interested in a politic notch in their belt, one being race or a white guy did it (killing/shooting) or the weapon was a so called "assault" weapon which often it is not.
