Tough matchup for the Friars but played with some grit and made the Monarchs work harder than they wanted to in this game.

That is Servite's first league win since defeating O Lu in the 2016-2017 season, and it is the first win over Santa Margarita since the 2012-2013 season.

The Servite Asylum traveled to OLU for tonight's basketball game, seated in white-out attire behind the Friars bench.

We'll lose this game at Mater Dei tonight, but how ridiculously good of an athlete is this sophomore? He's dunked on the Monarchs in two sports so far this year. (and he's even better at volleyball)

Best Trinity League finish in a decade. Only one of the starting five was a senior so the Friars will be bringing it hard next year.

Pretty wild the #4 team which, by rights, should be the #4 seed... Doesn't get in the playoffs.

Did not know TMac played hoops. He doesn't have much of a half-court offensive game but is a heck of a rebounder and defender, and can run the break real well. His best sport outside football is actually volleyball, for which he played significantly on last year's varsity Trinity League champs as a freshman.

Nuff said Servite was 4th in Trinity League but gets shut out of the Div. 3AA playoffs, but Orange Lutheran--which came in last place in the Trinity League-- gets a berth in the D-1 playoffs? So Servite, which likely wouldn't even be ranked in the Top 20 on D-1, would make the D-1 playoffs if we were slotted in D-1. But being ranked #4 in D-3AA gets us bupkis? And to top it off we're better than most of the teams in D-2A, D-2AA, and D-3A, the three divisions right above 3AA. That's just ridiculous.cifss.org/sports/boys-basketball/brackets/

The CIF never ceases to amaze. That's just crazy stupid that Servite did not make the playoffs.
