Trinity League Media Day for Basketball last week. Apparently the JSerra boys will be taking the court in long pants this season.
Can St. John Bosco go back-to-back in TL hoops? Better yet, can Servite win a few league games this year? (my sources say yes)

Whats happening with JSerra Athletics..? The football team lost traction maybe due to their cleats and the basketball team is going "Full Dockers" on the hardwood?

Better yet, can Servite win a few league games this year? (my sources say yes) Is the thinking they will beat OLu? I don’t see them beating JSerra or SM. |

The league is going back to the home-and-home format this year (not sure why that was different last year), so there may be a decent shot at beating JSerra or SM at home. |

Is there an early season ranking of Orange County boys basketball teams that someone could post? Servite lost to Sonora the other night and I'd be interested to see where Sonora is ranked, but I can't seem to get through the OC Register paywall.

Servite fortunate to come away with a win at home vs. a very game and well-coached Beckman squad. The Friars will need to step up their game when league play begins.

Servite led the entire game....up 62-55 with 35 seconds in the 4th quarter. Bosco came back to tie it in regulation and won it in OT. That's one that got away from the Friars.

Very frustrating loss, and a shame to waste a 40 point performance by Miller. Eerily reminiscent of the 2015 playoff loss to Esperanza, where Servite also led the entire game (except for the last 1.8 seconds), when Kezle Okpala, on a broken play, trailing by 3 points, put up a 3-pointer that went in. Servite was called for a foul on the shot and Okpala sank the free throw for the win.  |
