Believing what qualifies as "liberal" today IS a mental disorder. One needn't look any further than our resident malcontent as evidence...

Seems like he was poking fun at the story that has been circulating that Biden was going to mandate a 90% reduction in red meat intake.
Lots of folks on the right running with it as though it were true.

Personal confession: I have two personal tenets that I've tried to live by since I was in my 30's. One is that I try very, very hard not to hate anyone. And two, I never sweat the stuff I can't impact, and I waste no emotional capital obsessing over things I can't change.
But I think I'm moving towards changing my mind on both of those standards. I have a 15-month-old granddaughter and another one coming in two months. Because of them, I am slowly coming to hate the radical left for the society they are trying so hard to force those two little girls to grow up in, and for the unnecessary yet crushing financial burden they will force them to shoulder.
And I don't know what to do about it.

Elect officials with nut sacks... In this state, that's impossible.

Because of them, I am slowly coming to hate the radical left for the society they are trying so hard to force those two little girls to grow up in, and for the unnecessary yet crushing financial burden they will force them to shoulder. And I don't know what to do about it. 20-something years ago, Steven Covey (the guy who famously noted "I am not a product of my circumstances, I am a product of my decisions") had quite a bit to say about that: In The One Minute Manager, he talked about the two concentric circles in which everything that impacts us is included: The larger, outer circle he called the Circle of concern. These are the experiences and circumstances that impact us, but about which we cannot do nothing: Traffic, the weather, the a-hole in the car that cuts us off, and such. We want to expend energy in this circle, but in the end, it is useless because we cannot alter the things here. The inner, smaller circle are those things that impact us, but about which we can do something: What we believe, how we act and react, even what we have for breakfast. Many of us don't necessarily believe we can do anything about this circle, or worse, we don't pay it any attention at all (with your two rules, you would be an exception). But Covey maintains we have it backwards. Sure, you can rage at the guy ho cuts you off, but have you changed the outcome? You can hate that it's raining for the 8th day in a row, but does that change it? I submit, that by refusing to hate people, and not sweating the stuff you cannot change, you embody Covey's circles. I further suggest you will accomplish nothing at all by changing it. I feel the same frustration at the apparent success of the propagandist, democrat politicians.

I further suggest you will accomplish nothing at all by changing it. While that may be true, it also presumes that my change of heart is a rational decision. It's not. It is utterly visceral and emotional, and not really under my control. I love my granddaughters with all my heart, and I despise the maelstrom of shit that may well be their future, and the people who are perpetrating it.

When you have fallen over the line to the "emotional", you have acted in such as a Liberal. Or so they say.Yetr now after reading this....

I truly can see a day when MDDad could turn a corner, from standing by not chipping away at those whom threaten us but to actually get up, stand up and do something, EVEN IN VEIN! I personally am so tired of the defeatist sh*t, what f*cking difference does it make attitudes. Non of that BS would stand muster at the beginning of this nation. I know many of us are older, and its easy to say whatever... not me, every chip I take might be a wound and even a loss but I am not going down sitting on my laurels.

We are watching the train wreck in slow motion, and many people, like Chucky drinking his beer watching the Oscars, are cheering it on, even encouraging a disaster.
