This is getting crazy, long over due by 100's maybe 1,000 of years........ if you haven't checked Twitter today the #1 trending tweet is #NancyPelosiFakeNews
Even the Muslim world Twitter-sphere is erupting not only against their ruling class but ours in Congress!
It appears at this stage that Trump has united the world abasing the Iranian Regime, that is except our own Democrats in the US. Again it appears ta this point a brilliant move by Trump on many fronts, politically here he has boxed in the opposition party yet again and he may be able to start a real change in Iran, the Iranians shooting down the jetliner may have globally sealed the deal.
#NancyPelosiFakeNews
And CNN globally is getting yet another beat down.....

I may change my mind in the coming days and weeks, but today I doubt it. What we're more likely to see in Iran instead of real reform is something more like Tiananmen Square 2.0.

I think there's less likely a TSv2 with the wide ownership of smart phones and Twitter. Pretty much removes plausible deniability. It will be interesting to see if #FreeIran gains momentum to the point of a military intervention. I'd bet we (the West) are in there now supporting this covertly.

It is funny that Mark Levin has begun referring to her as “Tehran Nancy.”

In chronological order, insofar as I recall,
- Trump orders the takedown of Soleimani, Democrats are somehow insulted Trump did not consult them beforehand.
- Iran mullahs are outraged and vow to make America pay, Democrats twist their minions into believing Iran will start a war with us
- Iran launches missiles at our base, hitting nothing, and shoot down a Ukrainian jetliner, so Democrats twist their minions into thinking now Trump will start a war with Iran, and finally
- Tim Kaine (D-VA) starts a resolution forbidding the president from starting a war with Iran without first consulting Congress...
the idiocy I see and that is confirmed by an article in P J Media:- It doesn’t define “going to war” ... meaning it neither reaffirms nor rejects him dealing with an imminent threat
- Congress is ALREADY the only governmental body that can declare war
- It ONLY specifies war with Iran, so theoretically, we could go to war against, say, Iraq (under the guise of responding to an imminent threat, of course...WHAT??? Not like THAT hasn’t been done before) which would coincidentally spill over into Iran.
- IT IS A RESOLUTION! Even if passed by both houses, it is not binding in the President.
so here’s my question: If a resolution that forbids the President from declaring war in Iran fails to pass Congress, does that de facto allow the President to bypass congress in declaring war on Iran?

Pretty funny Dave.
Symbolic Dem gesture would give the green light to declaring a symbolic war if it fails? Maybe a paintball war?

Fifty what?

Fifty what? Not to mention the whole “Birther” thing, etc. It was like you said in the other thread: Plenty of turds floating in both ends of the pool.

Plenty of turds floating in both ends of the pool. And yet, except on very rare occasions, both sides only acknowledge the turds at the other end. We are as guilty of it here as are the usual suspects on TOB.

We are as guilty of it here as are the usual suspects on TOB. We are probably guilty of it here, but we do have a broad range of conservative-to-moderate ideologies represented here and more than a little libertarian filtering in. So, I’m not so sure about the “ as guilty” part.

I don't know where exactly this belongs, but I really get a kick how these middle eastern combatants get described by our media. Mourners now. SMH Was doing a search, came across this thread and post from 2020 on middle east. The media then and now take the side of, or deem a side the oppressed and thus show their support. How quick the NY Times sided with Iran then, and Palestine now.

The New York Times Building is only about four miles from the World Trade Center in Manhattan. Imagine how much better off we would be if those Muslim jerks had flown those two planes into the wrong skyscraper 22 years ago.
