Confusing him with someone else. Any idea why those kids choose HB? The guy who was paying the tuition to JSerra,,,had his QB kid transfer to HB,,,,and open up his home to foster(?) the kid.... the really big question,,,, did they bring any Trinity OL,,,,, NO..... the advantage they gained is that HB is favored as the Sunset 4th place over NH That's what is baffling, (the exodus from JS, Booty to Texas, many to St. Bernard and HB?) why not go to Edison...? And looking at what HB had last season not sure a very good QB and RB can do much without surrounding players....? |

They picked up 4 kids total from JS, and they were pretty young last year too. 2 of the kids coming from JS have D1 offers.
They could very well finish higher than 4th.
Newport has a pretty good Q that xferd from JS last year. I think that bit with booty might have been behind all the movement.

![]() Here’s the skinny,,,,,if you look HB at schedule losses from 2019,,,, with the players added from JS, while losing a D1 TE/LB...which games will be flipped? Western 14-0 LIKELY LB Wilson 43-7 NOT LIKELY Marina 34-14 POSSIBLY CDM 49-6 NOT LIKELY NH 34-3 NOT LIKELY Edison 41-15 NOT LIKELY LA 28-12 NOT LIKELY So I see 1, and maybe, 2 more wins (Marina returns quite a few players that put it on HB) Now does a marginal QB, and a good(great?) RB, and a few other randoms skill guys earn more wins than that? Better condition really well, with all those guys playing both ways. Very few at the big 3 and NH play both ways full time. And HB OL was really bad last year.... |

If the Q is marginal, it would be better than what they had LY. Together with Duncan at wr and green at RB, even a slight improvement at OL changes them significantly. Amazing what a strong RB can do for an OL and a Q.
I don't remember the last time HB had a good RB to go along with the really good WRs they've had. Kai Ross was their last decent Q.
HB is my upset special for 3rd this year.

A number of Corona del Mar football players are receiving interest from major colleges, according to Sea Kings Coach Dan O’Shea. “Recruiting wise Tommy Bouda, Tommy Griffin and Scott Giuliano are garnering a lot of attention from the 2021 class, and will see interest in similar 2021 returning players like Jake Trachman, Hunter Schimm, Jason Vicencio, Ryder Haupt, Kevin Ledezma, Mikey Wein, Conner Brooks and Brock Preston moving forward this spring,” said O’Shea. Meanwhile, Corona del Mar is preparing for the 2020 season. The Sea Kings are the defending CIF Division 3 and Division 1A state champions.
