Boy with all those transfers woulda thought HB would rocket! Whats your take on Edison this year Bick.....?
I've been running numbers too seeing how all this adds up. FYI your non-league schedule averages out to a 157.2 state ranking, CDM's is 85.2. With all that talent you have thought you might go tougher!
The numbers above are averages, the Western game really knocks you as they are ranked #412 for 2020 in state. If you do a median its LA 112.3 and CDM 80.3, San Clemente is our highest state ranked opponent at #19 in state. I suspect they will be very good too.
Hard to gauge this year with not much summer ball going on......

I suspect those rankings will be significantly different once the dust settles in mid April.

Even if he didn't take a snap at HB, its a loss for them.. Without a doubt he was the their 2nd best player behind Sammy Green.

These numbers are based on last years numbers then adjusted for a few minor factors such as returning starters and strength of schedule. Preliminary for sure and will adjust accordingly. I still expect some strange comings with HSF whenever it starts...

With all the hype and success of "skill players" at CDM over the past few seasons, this years team will showcase another side of what a great team consists of. Extremely happy for these guys on the line and the defensive unit for 2020 that has been overshadowed by stellar offenses during their high school playing careers.
Last year CDM's defense and line play was an integral part of the undefeated CIF Championship season. This years 2020 team will field the Sea King's best O-Line in school history led by seniors Thomas Bouda and Jake Trachtman. Bouda was the "SUNSET LEAGUES LINEMAN of the YEAR" as a junior. He made an early commit to Army. He will play on the "D"- Line as well where he was a beast last season. Going to be a very different look for the Sea Kings this season.

By DAN ALBANO | dalbano@scng.com | Orange County RegisterPUBLISHED: September 9, 2020 at 10:21 p.m. | UPDATED: September 10, 2020 at 12:27 p.m.Corona del Mar High football has become known for its record-setting quarterbacks and wide receivers, and gifted tight ends. But don’t forget about the Sea Kings’ linemen, especially in the class of 2021.Seniors Thomas Bouda and Jake Trachtman both recently committed to college programs.Bouda (6-4, 270) committed to Army as a defensive tackle while Trachtman (6-7, 295) committed to Cal Poly SLO as an offensive tackle.Bouda said he picked Army for its academics, camaraderie, coaching staff and opportunities after football.
“Army is the No. 1 leadership school in the country and I want to be part of something that is bigger than me,” he said.
Trachtman said he is excited to attend Cal Poly SLO, a member of the Big Sky Conference and another school with a strong reputation for academics.
At Corona del Mar, Bouda and Trachtman also team up to play offensive line. Bouda was the Sunset League’s offensive lineman of the year last season.
Both players helped the Sea Kings finish 16-0 last season with CIF-SS Division 3 and CIF State Division 1-A titles. Corona del Mar’s 16-game winning streak is the third longest active streak in the state.

Absolutely right about Army being a great leadership school. Did coach saturnio recruit him? Yes, even though a tight end coach, now headed back to special teams at West Point. Army with their rushing attack looks to TE's as blockers, with the TE talent at CDM not sure Bouda has ever left a line of scrimmage for a pass! Speaking of TE, CDM senior Scott Giuliano 6' 5" 235 lbs. will step in nicely for departing Mark Redman. There is going to be some big guys across CDM's line for 2020.

Now that I finally got to see the game, I could see that CDM had some big dudes out there last night. Surprised we were able to keep up with you considering we're mostly sophs and juniors.

CDM QB dropped a couple of dimes on Friday to well covered WRs. He should be a real good one over the next few years.
On to Edison, who just destroyed Trabuco Hills and Newport behind some nice passing by Broyles.
