I know MDDad poo-poos the idea of Bradshaw being in the GOAT conversation..., bu Dude, it's not just me who poo-poos that notion, it's everybody but you. And to pick out one play out of thousands to argue someone is the GOAT is beyond silly. I'm sure I could find many plays that would make Bradshaw (or anybody else) look like the WOAT (worst of all time). That's not how it works.

It is a psychological ploy that when you want to make a person feel they are wrong, you tell them they are the only one who thinks that way. Social isolation is a strong tool, unfortunately your attempt to use it on me is fruitless. Keep using it on the Mater Dei dolts you hang out with, but get that weak shit out of here.
A quick google search dismisses your contention that NO ONE puts Bradshaw in the GOAT conversation. So that point is unilaterally incorrect. You may say it is a minority opinion, if you are willing to admit being wrong originally.
Yes, that was just one play, it is called giving an example. One of the things with players who are in the GOAT conversation is that there is always a signature play that occurs in the finals or playoffs, something that people shake their head and say "Yep, he was that good". Examples (if you can handle the concept) include Jordan's hand switch layup over the Lakers, Jeters backhanded flip to the plate against the A's, Bobby Orr flying off the ice as he scores a winning goal in the Stanley cup. That doesn't make those folks GOATS, but it is making great plays in the biggest moments that gets them in the GOAT conversation. Of course, it alone does not get them in the conversation, someone like Steve Kerr hitting a winning shot in the finals does not qualify him, but it is a needed part of the resume.
That is why I believe things like Brady taking an 18-0 team to the Super Bowl and losing is a negative in the GOAT scoring system. It is the biggest game of the year, how do you perform? The highlight for half of Brady's Super Bowl wins was Vintatieri kicking the winning field goal.

I'd follow the advice of Carl Spackler -
"I'll take care of him. What you've got to do is cut the hamstring on the back of his leg right at the bottom. He'll never play golf again, because his weight displacement goes back, all his weight is on his right foot, and he'll push everything off to the right. He'll never come through on anything. He'll quit the game."

This entire thread has become academic. The greatest quarterback of all time is Colin Kaepernick. If you disagree, you are a racist and should lose your job, your public and private respect and standing, your family, and possibly your life. Welcome to the new America.

Point well taken, however I suspect RSM will have a different take on who is the GOAT! Maybe Bradshaw!

Terry Bradshaw is arguably one of the most overrated quarterback of all time. Naah, that award would go to Matt Barkley. Wonderful guy, great family, alot of physical talent and just a mediocre QB despite all of the accolades and expectations. Couldn't even win Player of the Year for Orange County his senior year in high school, lost out to a kid that didn't even play in college. If Barkley won a title in Pee Wee football, that would have been his only one.

Couldn't even win Player of the Year for Orange County his senior year in high school... I guess after winning it as a junior, he figured that was good enough.

Playing for a loaded team that year and still can't lead them to the title, or even the championship game. That vote was based on potential, potential that was never realized in high school, college or the pros. No different than Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize even though he never did anything worthy of that award.

That vote was based on potential, potential that was never realized in high school, college or the pros. No different than Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize even though he never did anything worthy of that award. First, that team was only loaded on offense. The defense was terrible, and as the old saying goes, "Terrible defenses don't win championships." And second, it wasn't "potential" that broke the all-time county records for passing yardage and touchdown passes and got Matt named Gatorade National Player of the Year. You have an obsession with winning championships in a TEAM sport as a measure of individual greatness, so let's talk about Chris Galippo and D.J. Shoemate, who also never won dick.

Terry Bradshaw is arguably one of the most overrated quarterback of all time. Based purely on statistics, that may be true (same for Joe Namath). However, he was still one of the top five QB's of the decade of the 1970s and won four SBs with no losses. The guy came up bigtime under the biggest spotlight. Bradshaw is Hall of Fame worthy--and that's coming from a Dallas Cowboys fan who had a poster Roger Staubach on his wall as a kid.

Correction: His team won four Super Bowls with no losses. Bradshaw had the luxury of playing on teams that included multi-time All-Pro's like Joe Greene, Andy Russell, Franco Harris, Dwight White, L.C. Greenwood, Jack Ham, Lynn Swan, Mel Blount, Glen Edwards, Jack Lambert, Mike Wagner, John Stallworth, Mike Webster and Donnie Shell. Not many NFL QB's played on that kind of all-star team, and certainly not Tom Brady. And in 14 years, Bradshaw was named to only three Pro Bowls, and was named All-Pro only once. During the 1970's, Bob Griese, Fran Tarkenton, Roger Staubach and Ken Stabler may all have been better QB's than Bradshaw.
