You need to read her brilliance more closely. Her way to stop the cows from farting is to eliminate all cows. That's a step towards both a cleaner atmosphere and vegetarianism. I think she belongs right up there with the great thinkers throughout human history. I was fooled. i read you guys out there I tend to regulate cow flatulence and was struggling with just how you intend to do that. Somehow, I got turned around thinking AOC wanted to put a stop to it. I’m better now. Please forgive me. WHAT??? I just invested a few hundred k in a bovine gas catalytic converter company. What a waste...get it Luca? |

But Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), the unquestioned media superstar of the freshman class, upped the ante, admonishing the moderates and indicating she would help liberal activists unseat them in the 2020 election.

First of all, as if she needed to, AOC proves more every day what an idiotic ideologue she is. And second, that quote by Nancy Pelosi is a little chilling. Voting one's beliefs or conscience is now to take a back seat to blindly supporting the party. I can imagine the same line being repeated in Germany 90 years ago. |

Here is my very non-PC, misogynist take on AOC: People allow her to continue to spew her ignorant nonsense with minimal rebuke because she is a young, pretty woman with crazy eyes. Guys look at her & just know she would be wild in bed and that they just might have a shot at her if they nod in agreement to her ramblings about a new green deal. Women are afraid of her, her looks make her the queen of the mean girls clique and her eyes convey the message that she will run over & shiv any sister that gets in her way.
If she was over 45, Pelosi ugly and had normal eyes, she would be laughed at & ignored.

I'm not a psychologist, RSM, but I can't find a lot of fault in your first paragraph.
However, the second is a stretch. AOC will one day be 45 (four presidential elections from now), and she can get her eyes fixed so she doesn't look like Charles Manson. But very few women can aspire to ever being Pelosi ugly -- except Hillary Clinton when she flashes those horse teeth.

Democrats’ reasoning might be a little more convoluted, but likely they don’t know how to handle her. I’m certain, Pelosi has assigned her a liberal mentor, and just as certain she bucks the mentor at every turn. My evidence for this is, look at the reception her “green new deal” monstrosity has gotten from the democrats, even including Schumer’s panic that McConnell is scheduling a vote on it. McConnelk knows it’s an albatross with which no one wants to be shackled. she is being laughed at and ignored by more reasoned people. |

Back to the subject of the thread, we may laugh and scoff at AOC just two months into her first term. But I think we have to admit she's the most amusing thing to hit national politics since Sarah Palin. I hope she sticks around for a long time.

I was watching an useful idiot (socialist) who indicated people how make $250,000 per year should pay 90% in taxes, then she proceeded to demand a $15 minimum wage:
$250,000 X 90% = $225,000 in taxes - meaning you get to keep $25,000. Yeah, that's a great deal! $25,000/12 months = $2,083 per month divided by 160 hours a month = $13.02 per hour. That's less than the $15 minimum wage the socialists are demanding. Irony. LOL.
