I think JSerra has been back full-time in the classroom since the beginning of the academic year, or a few months thereafter. Kids had the option of staying on line if they wanted but I think most of them decided to go to school. There hasn't been any problem. I don't know how they've handled it at Santa Margarita. I'm glad that the private schools at least had the latitude to decide for themselves how to handle it rather than having some distant CMA bureaucrat in the diocese making a collective decision...............................Luca

I'm sure what you say about JSerra is true, because they (and Servite) are not diocesan high schools and subject to diocesan whims. But Mater Dei has been jerked around between online vs. hybrid vs. on campus instruction several times since the end of August, and I have to believe the same is true of Santa Margarita and Rosary.

All schools should have re-opened in September, but thankfully the private schools have had more leeway. www.jserra.org/about/news/detail/~board/migrated-news/post/la-times-jserra-went-bold-in-returning-to-school

Our crew was there and officiated the Edison intersquad scrimmage which originally had Santa Margarita scheduled. We also did an intersquad for Santa Margarita last Saturday and they told us it was cancelled ... hope these vaccines work like the witchdoctors say. Opening at Troy v Bell Gardens.

I see the Trinity League schools having great incentive to fight back against King Newsom's new Covid VAX mandate for K-12 students, unless they're reconciled to losing 20% of their student bodies and athletic teams.
