But I really liked him in this movie with Mark Harmon.

What movie did he utter this line. " Our situation has not improved." My son can say this line perfectly with his accent.

For a generation of younger folks, Sean Connery is the guy who feuds with Alex Trebek on "Saturday Night Live" skits.
Sean Connery: Well, the game is afoot. I’ll take anal bum cover for 7,000.
Alex Trebek: That’s An album cover, not anal bum cover.
Sean Connery: I can read, Trebek. That says Anal bum cover. I’ve spent five years of my life trying to invent an anal bum cover, failing to do so is my greatest regret.

RIP Mr. Connery. While most of you will remember him as James Bond, I will forever remember him as the true Dr. Jones. To me, he will always be the quintessential Jimmy Malone ( The Untouchables) the movie that only slightly edged out Hoosiers at the Oscars that year. |

Every Tom, Dick and Harry who's ever been in a movie has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. So how is it possible that Sean Connery doesn't? If I am not mistaken, you have to pay (or get a 3rd party to pay) for the star in the cement. It is not so much an honor as a fundraising effort for the city and a marketing effort for fading actors. |
