Freedom of association, free trade with businesses, search and seizure without due process (in the case of drone surveillance), freedom of religion (or the free expression thereof), to name a few. Where do you presume to have such rights? Or are you just making sh_t up again? Because the Constitution doesn't mention drones--nor does your superstitious Bible.(Just pre-empting Philly @ 4:00 PST)

If a county health officer closes a restaurant in the interest of public safety, as they do every week, it constrains its free trade and association. I don't think your argument that it violates our civil rights holds water, counselor. I don’t accept your equivalency: Mass closings of businesses by, in most cases, one person (typically, the governor) is not the same thing as a health department closing a restaurant because of a roach infestation (or etc). Looks like an Illinois judge agrees with you. I stand corrected. news.google.com/articles/CAIiEIR0RpQyQ6Do5fjAh0X4-nUqGQgEKhAIACoHCAow77zbCjDiq8wBMNiCsgU?hl=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US%3Aen

Yes, I’ve been following that case, and the full impact of the ruling has yet to be determined. first, Darren Bailey only filed suit on behalf of himself, so the judges restraining order really only says Bailey doesn’t have to comply. However, the judge also said our governor’s subsequent order (the extension of the stay-at-home order) “shreds the Constitution” so doesn’t that mean none of us have to follow it? in the meantime, several other Illinoisans are filing similar lawsuits this week AND, as the article you linked points out, our Governor is asking for a stay of the restraining order while he challenges it at the appellate level. so, I’m not sure where that all leaves us.

Predictably, our Governor, who goes live stream at 2:30 every afternoon o update us on COVID, spent almost half of his hour-long address this afternoon addressing yesterday’s restraining order, insisting on his righteousness even having lost that case, calling the Representative who filed it names, and generally whining that it came to a law suit. He also filed an appeal to have the restraining order overturned. What he COULD have spent his time on fixing his executive order to abate all the coming lawsuits that will surely follow on the heels of yesterday’s judgement.
Speaking of other lawsuits, at least one more was filed today and word is spreading the law office that represented Darren Bailey in yesterday’s proceedings is collecting names and contact information of Illinoisans in preparation of a class action lawsuit.

How stupid is the Mayor of New York to be tweeting about rounding up Jews? Contrast that with his message to Muslims just five days earlier. And all this time the Left has been telling us that Trump is the fascist and anti-Semite.
Yet Christian churches are still closed.

I had to check to see if that was a parody account.
Not exactly getting a lot of support from the responses.

The continuing saga of Illinoisans trying to take back our liberties from our tyrant Governor: late last week, one of our state representatives filed a lawsuit against our governor claiming the extension of his stay-at-home order over-reached his authority (which it did since the legislative act that gave him those extra powers during a declared emergency stipulate only 30 days, which had already expired). the lawsuit asked for, among other things, a restraining order to prevent enforcement of the extension which the judge granted. Turned out though the judgement ONLY impacted the state Rep who filed the lawsuit, a fact our petulant Governor pointed out in his daily COVID-19 update yesterday. He also spent an inordinate amount of time accusing the state rep of endangering “thousands of lives” and otherwise calling him names. All in all, the Governor insists his extension is in full force even as his “legal team” has filed an appeal in the heavily democrat controlled appeals court seeking the restraining order to be overturned. SO ... the law office that filed the state reps lawsuit and represented him in court is now gathering names and contact information in preparation for a class action lawsuit, AND a different state rep has just today filed his own lawsuit on his own behalf and all those in Illinois in a similar situation to him (so, basically a class action)... and the beat goes on... SECOND STATE REP FILES LAWSUIT AGAINST GOV PRITZKER "ON BEHALF OF ALL IL CITIZENS SIMILARLY SITUATED"

I'm confused. Democrats and others on the left take great pride in being the pro-choice community. So why are they not pro-choice when it comes to sheltering in place? Let those frightened mice who choose to do so remain in their homes, hiding under their beds with their face masks and gloves. And let those who choose to do so go out into the world and participate in commerce and social interaction, with the appropriate safeguards.
Or does pro-choice only apply to the decision to murder unborn babies?

Or does pro-choice only apply to the decision to murder unborn babies? I agree wholeheartedly with one small proviso. Let those frightened mice who choose to do so remain in their homes, hiding under their beds with their face masks and gloves...as long as we aren't paying them unemployment to do so...it's their choice to be under that bed instead of returning to their jobs.

Tucker Carlson showed a couple of clips tonight of davidsf's Governor Pritzker in Illinois, speaking down to the peasants of the state on the wisdom of his lockdown orders.
What a thug and an ass that guy is. He makes Gavin Newsom look almost reasonable by comparison.
