I read somewhere about two weeks ago that the average water droplet that carries the Covid virus is about 1.5 microns in diameter. The average gap between the threads of a cloth mask or the fibers of a paper mask is 20 to 25 microns. So how in the hell is a mask supposed to work, when it's like trying to stop BB's with a chain link fence?

Even with a perfect fitting N95 mask, those droplets escape out the sides. Of course, they wouldn't linger in the air, or be carried beyond 6 feet by anything resembling air movement.

Well, I've been a good boy for three or months, but it was only a matter of time before my mouth got the best of me again. I was shopping at Stater Bros. yesterday, and I couldn't believe that everyone was still wearing a mask except for me and one other guy who looked like the poster child for the NRA. I went to Staters the day before the mandate ended. I felt like telling everyone the mandate was going to end tomorrow. We are in the end stages of the pandemic (endemic) and people seem more frightened now than ever. When I go to my mom's, the first thing I do is turn the TV off the corporate media. She doesn't understand why I don't like those channels. I think it is the media MD. These people have lost it. I don't want to get sick and die, but people are in a panic or something, when they shouldn't be.
Good for you BTW. We can't comply ourselves out of tyranny.

I went to Stater Bros, one in Cypress and one in San Bernardino County. Most people were wearing masks at both locations. I think the brainwashing finally worked. During the Delta variant, hardly anyone was wearing a mask, now they are. Strange.

6:15 am Tuesday I drive pass a man jogging with a mask on. In Washington State they repealed a law that required bicycle riders to wear a helmet. Why? Not because of liberty or freedom. Because it is racist and more black people were stopped for not wearing a helmet.
Now, wearing a helmet is smart, IMO. But howabout wearing a mask but not a helmet? How many times have we seen that? I have seen it several times, especially in Irvine near UCI.

My 12-year-old daughter was sent to the principal's office at St. Irenaeus for refusing to wear her mask yesterday. Same today.
She's taking a stand and I fully support her.

Good for you Credo. Today I was driving down Cerritos near Brookhurst. I stopped at the light. There were two kids on one corner and one kid on each of two other corners. They were middle school age. All of them were wearing a mask. ------------- Here is a question: Will it get back to normal and / or when?

Went to granddaughter's soccer game last night in Costa Mesa. A couple teenaged players with masks on, and looking over, you could see who the parents were sporting their nifty masks as well.
It's part of the liberal identity now. Don't see it ending.

A liberal wearing a mask is now no different than a conservative wearing a MAGA hat. Both are just advertisements of what or whom they support, and it no longer has anything to do with preventing Covid.
