My point is that I believe there is some seasonality with the flu that spikes for a short period of time in the summer, overly sensitive cycle rate of the covid testing and mitigation efforts notwithstanding. This is an interesting point to all this, coupled with the recognition that we had nearly a non-existent flu season last year... I am still of the opinion that COVID is real but the hysteria is manufactured. We still do not know why the hysteria, but I suspect there is a large government control component to it. As 'right said, the numbers have at least been fudged, if not fabricated outright (I believe the former), and it seems to me, COVID is no worse than the regular flu we get every year... in some ways, even less severe (for example, I don't recall a flu strain that anyone could catch, but not be aware of it)... |

Putting on my dime store epidemiologist cap, I think we're regularly exposed / "infected" to viruses and bacteria of all kinds throughout our lives. If we were to be tested at any given time for a particular strain, and the test was sensitive enough, we'd test positive more often than not. Whether that infection makes us even mildly symptomatic, is a function of our immune system. How many times do we feel a little "off" during the course of the year? Wouldn't that be the result of our bodies fighting off a bug of sorts?

I’ve been sick twice since the mask mandates were lifted… cold and now a sinus infection.
It’s god awful.

NOBODY (except Covid+ people with symptoms) needs to be wearing masks, but at least this is progress. We'll see what CA and the OC Health Dept. says as school resumes in August.
