BLM to arm itself - Black Panthers part II?

Sounds like we're heading in the right direction -- defund and demotivate police officers and bring back the Black Panthers with modern firepower. Jeez, I feel safer already. What could go wrong?

Come on, SK, don't be naive. Did you really think the segments of BLM that "pattern ourselves after the Black Panthers, after the Nation of Islam" and "believe that we need an arm to defend ourselves" were going to BUY their firearms LEGALLY?

The other angle shows the police line in riot gear moving forward and the man tries to walk thru it. He was pushed and fell backwards and hit his head.

If you follow the direction of the police, you rarely get hurt. That man didn't and was hurt.

The police won't be able to keep order / do their job if their bosses won't support them, or throw them under the bus to mollify the masses. In Democrat run cities, the consistent theme is the cops are the bad guys, and the elected leaders cow tow to the people who refuse to be held accountable for their actions.

It's similar to a functional family unit where the dad is the authority figure. It was never a good idea to challenge dad's authority in my family from the time I was a kid, thru the time I became a grandpa. And the consequences certainly didn't meet the threshold of being "fair" at the time they were being administered. Looking backward, it became clear to me, and later my kids, that the effectiveness of limiting future improper behavior trumped fairness by a longshot. But those are my values.

I'm not going to convince anyone who doesn't respect authority and the concept of accountability that my values are right for them. Fact is, they don't fit with those people, and I'm OK with that. It's not my place to impose my values on others in their home, or their cities. I draw the line in my home and in my city.

Any idea what the fallout is of creating a job that less and less would want? Or do democrats believe there are no repercussions to their actions?

I'm at the point I hope the major cities do defund the police & the feds don't pick up the tab. It will turn those democratically controlled areas into lawless areas controlled by gangs, chasing a majority of the population out. It will be a great example of what progressive & liberal policies lead to.

The wealthy in those cities won't care, they live behind gates with private security forces. The middle class will move out, losing equity on the homes they had owned, but having enough to escape to somewhere with a bit more common sense. The poor will be preyed upon, by both the criminal element and the elites, who will hire them for domestic services. Industry will die as the cities plunge into dystopian wastelands. Surrounding cities and counties will likely increase police forces, mostly at the borders of such dying metropolis's, in order to keep the crime from invading their community.

And Trump will be blamed for it all...

Just like Detroit...
