Snicker, snicker, snicker!
When I watch those two clips, all that comes to mind is the old saying about the goose and the gander. And RSM, this is a good example of why I don't think there is not impending civil war in America. This young woman is all full of piss and vinegar when it costs her nothing, but the minute she gets slapped on the wrist, she melts into a blubbering baby. I think that epitomizes much of the radical left - all gravy and no meat.

I remember the day when you could go down to your local drug store and pick up a great big can of "Nigger Hair" brand tobacco. 1. Where in the heck did you grow up that sold such stuff? 2. And this is relevant because....?

1. Credo, try to understand that not everything you read should be taken literally. This brand of tobacco hasn't been sold anywhere for many years.
2. It's relevant because we no longer sell things with such racist names. Times change, and so do people's sensibilities. It used to be perfectly acceptable to sell Nigger Hair tobacco and to have Uncle Ben speak like stereotypical uneducated black man in his ads. It is not acceptable today, and it's no surprise that companies are trying to distance themselves from these blatantly racist trademarks and brands of the past.

Any pejorative referencing the race, gender, or sexual orientation of another has been unacceptable for some time now.
What's happening today is a broad spectrum whitewash of things deemed offensive by a small, very vocal group with apparently a lot of time on their hands.
Societal change should be a result of the majority deciding to make those changes...not a virtual lynch mob.

Probably why they have a lot of time on their hands. While the majority of us work, these activists move from issue to issue, and dominate the conversation.

Except when the mob brings a rope and the majority aid in tying the knot...

That HAS caused me wonderment: They must be capitalizing on the Marxist philosophy of “what’s yours is mine” for sustenance because they are surely not flipping hamburgers in their spare time.

Except when the mob brings a rope and the majority aid in tying the knot... To pull from another thread, I believe you mean "tying the noose"... We don't want to confuse VP, he has a hard time determining nooses from loops.

Any pejorative referencing the race, gender, or sexual orientation of another has been unacceptable for some time now. So The Washington Redskins isn't pejorative? Seriously?

When companies try to improve their public image it's not a whitewash, it's not a societal change, and it's not the result of a "very small group" of agitators...it's just good business...I thought you guys liked letting businesses make these decisions.

Any pejorative referencing the race, gender, or sexual orientation of another has been unacceptable for some time now. While that is certainly true, there are many shades of gray when it comes to the names of sports teams. Washington Redskins and Vancouver Canucks are definitely pejorative and should be changed. Cleveland Indians is ethnically neutral, although obviously also ethnically incorrect by half a world. Atlanta Braves and Kansas City Chiefs should arguably be acceptable, since they reference positions of high honor in a native American tribe.

Yes I do like businesses making their own decisions - just not with a gun pointed at my head if I don't. You see that, right?

If the majority of the injuns were offended by the term Redskins, then OK, change it. But they're not the ones bitching about it - the pale faces are! My sense is that it's yet another woke "I'm sorry" symbolic gesture. If the woke crowd was REALLY sorry, they'd be pushing to give back the land we captured through war with them.

Goya CEO refuses to apologize for praising Trump, even as the Woke Mob tries to make Goya the next target of Cancel Culture as a result. I don't think this is going to work; Hispanics are not as Woke as white liberals like to think. In fact, they've been pretty much ignored since the George Floyd uprising of insanity, despite comprising twice the population as blacks in the U.S.
Buy Goya!
