Sure, it's pretty widely known that Gavin has always had trouble keeping his zipper up. Two people close to his administration have hinted in radio interviews that he's had a longtime intimate relationship with one of his aides, and that aide was going to be part of the Newsom party going to Scotland. When his wife Jennifer heard the scuttlebutt, she allegedly put her foot down and he stayed home.
The guy is an empty sleazeball by every definition of the term, and one can only hope that his chickens eventually come home to roost.

Biden dumping Harris would be like a clumsy .150-hitting firstbaseman dumping his .130-hitting shortstop. It doesn't make the team a whole lot better. I wouldn't bet a lot of money on the political upside of Gavin Newsom. There is a lot of solid conjecture making the rounds about the real reason he didn't go to Glasgow. Being that we are in a "Krazy" thread, I seriously do not think the nation at this point would elect anything else "California". Gavin would not be popular with most of the other 49 states...... You make thoughtful observations, but IF Joe dumps Cackles, who else do the progressives have to take her place? Also, bear in mind, Joe will have to get the House good graces to confirm his new VP pick... the House that is controlled by Newsom's aunt. |

Being that we are in a "Krazy" thread, I seriously do not think the nation at this point would elect anything else "California". Gavin would not be popular with most of the other 49 states...... You make thoughtful observations, but IF Joe dumps Cackles, who else do the progressives have to take her place?
Also, bear in mind, Joe will have to get the House good graces to confirm his new VP pick... the House that is controlled by Newsom's aunt. any transgender person or pronouns of color on the list? |

This may sound contradictory, but to me Pete Buttigieg seems like a pretty bright guy who doesn't know anything. He can spew the platitudes and catchphrases as well as anyone, but when it comes to making specific policy proposals he's as clueless as a toddler in a surgical suite. He's also the Secretary of Transporation, a position he is uniquely unqualified to hold, and he didn't do himself any favors when he took two months of "maternity" leave during the biggest transportation crisis in the last century.

Anyone would be an upgrade over Kamala Harris, and it's a terrible condemnation of the American political system that she has somehow achieved the heights that she has. Mayor Pete could clinch it if he campaigns for the position wearing rainbow colored chaps and hotpants.

The market did not crash, we did not get into a war with anyone,
Basically, nothing at all happened anywhere in the world so she got to stand there smiling stupidly for 85 minutes.
