I'm not sure what people were expecting but the statement reference above shouldn't be considered "news" in any way. It is simply not possible to reverse Biblical, dogmatic, and natural law moral teaching, without going down the road of lukewarm indifferentism--and, eventually, atheism.
As a "professional Catholic," if you will, and being well-versed in the Church's theology, I have been telling people for 25+ years: women priests ain't gonna happen ever, nor will the Church ever bless sodomy and/or the LGBTQ agenda. Sorry, folks. The Unitarian Universalist church might be your place, though.
It'll be interesting to see if the MSM turns on Pope Francis, whom they have largely considered to be an ally of the liberal agenda (and not without good reason).

Calling them "nazi" and "gestapo" was one the line. I support police, generally, and the ones visiting churches to check on social distancing and mask wearing are, most of the time, just following orders. But I appreciate the Rabbi knowing his rights well enough to order them out. Not enough people know what their rights are. |
