Good catch, I meant indictment.
Felony Murder is possible for "Whoever causes the death of another human being while committing or attempting to commit a crime specified in" one of the delineated statutes. The statutes are: 940.19, 940.195, 940.20, 940.201, 940.203, 940.225 (1) or (2) (a), 940.30, 940.31, 943.02, 943.10 (2), 943.23 (1g), or 943.32
I guess the Prosecutor could argue for Battery, but that's going to rely upon whether they can show intent.
For the record, I think the kid is an idiot. I think he was asking for trouble the second he crossed state lines (which in of itself is a Federal crime).

This kid has a number of legal problems. He's not old enough to own the gun he was carrying. He's not old enough to carry the gun he was carrying. He's not from Wisconsin he's from Illinois so even if he was old enough he wasn't Wisconsinny enough to legally be carrying the rifle. If he was illegally carrying the rifle, illegally possessing the rifle, illegally in WI with the rifle, he's going to have a difficult time claiming self-defense regardless of what you think you see in the videos. If the people were chasing him because he shot someone, (who also was chasing him), his claim of self-defense is equally difficult. The bottom line is that he had no business being there with a rifle at all. Everyone he shot was chasing him, including the first guy. He has a team of high powered lawyers, the videos show he was fleeing for his life, so no possible way he gets convicted for anything other than misc. gun charges. In fact, look for the murder charges to be dismissed.

Kinda wild the kid would be charged with M1 without an investigation.

No, no, not all of his nonsense, just that last statement: He had no business being in Wisconsin at all, never mind armed. I’m sure standing there “guarding” a car lot in which he had no interest, with all the grownups (who were also packing) made him feel all growed up and all, but he is still a kid and what did he THINK would happen? (which, in my opinion, is at the root of his issue: He did not think it through)

All those people who are rioting, looting and burning private and public property are also felons, so I guess VP is calling on good citizens to chase those folks and beat them with skateboards as well. If vigilante justice is proper, it's proper for both sides.

I do understand that, and I didn’t intend to sound like I was arguing with you. Since I have vile butthead on ignore, I can only see what he writes when one of you quotes him, so I had to respond to your post, in which you quoted him. Sorry if I added to the confusion.

If vigilante justice is proper, it's proper for both sides. Your guesses aren't worth much. Perhaps if you told us what YOU are thinking you might get it right.
