A respectable passage of time for the country to grieve? I suppose. It took the rest of the Left a matter of hours to politicize her death and threaten riots over his pick. You might have missed, I said “respectable” passage of time. there is nothing I’ve seen recently that is respectable about the leftist zealots, like those promising war if Trump does his duty.

It's going to be important to have an uneven number of justices on the Supreme Court very soon because it's likely that one side or the other is going to protest the federal election results and it might be going to the Supreme Court. An uneven number of justices assures that there will be a binding decision.

The Republicans flipped and followed the precedent set by Biden, stopping the nomination of Merrick Garland for the same reason. Except their was no election imminent at that time...there was no precedent to follow...the Republicans just refused to do their job for 8 months...no excuse...just a blatant power grab. The precedent was set by Biden in 1992, he said no confirmations in an election year. Now the Democrats are screaming "unfair" when the Republicans are just following what the Dems wanted to do in 2016. Not a power grab, a legitimate exercise of power. You want that, win the election.

I question his misuse of the word “imminent.” Garland nominated in March, election was in November: imminent means “about to happen. An election definitely was about to happen.

... RBG’s last wish not to fill her seat until after the election. Again, I call BS that RGB ever made such a request. She was a highly intelligent lawyer and every lawyer knows the importance of having your last will & testament in writing before your death. She had been ill for so long, her death was no surprise to anyone, including her. There is no way a competent attorney would not have had her affairs in order and to claim RGB made such a dying wish without having such a request written down is a discredit to Ms. Ginsberg's legacy. Shame on her granddaughter for lying & injecting politics into her grandmothers death moments after her last breath.

Schumer: McConnell defiled the Senate.........It begins. LOL McConnell defiled the Senate by doing what the Democrats wanted done in 2016? Can't the Dems make up their mind? We keep doing what they demand & they get upset about it. 1992 - Biden says no confirmations in an election years. 2016 - Republicans follow Bidens request and the Democrats scream "Unfair!! All nominees, no matter when they are nominated, must receive a hearing". 2020 - So Republicans again follow the Democrats request from 2016 and the Democrats are still upset "No, No, You can't have a confirmation in an election year". Its almost as if the Democrats are changing their position based on who is the President and who is running the Senate.

I'm astounded every day that I'm still astounded every day by the blatant and utter hypocrisy of the left. Just the latest example:
When an opening occurs on the U.S. Supreme Court, the Constitution requires that the president nominate a replacement and the Senate either confirm or reject that nominee. Yet the left is outraged that Donald Trump and the current Senate are proceeding to perform their constitutional duties.
At the same time, the left is openly proposing eliminating the filibuster, granting statehood to Washington, DC and Puerto Rico to add four Democratic senators, to pack the Supreme Court with as many as six new liberal justices, to eliminate the electoral college, and to change the Senate makeup from two per state to population based.
They object when the Constitution is followed while advocating the destruction of many of the tentpoles of our republic. What a bunch of assholes.
