Congress was off. It was a long planned vacation with his family. Another manufactured much ado about nothing moment by the Dems and MSM. How much time do you think Pelosi, Schiff, and Swalwell spent in CA. during our many crisis?

In today's bullshit political environment, the only thing that matters is the optics, and the optics of this are horrible. The Democrats will ensure that it is not forgotten, so this may well be Ted Cruz's French Laundry.

More manufactured outrage to distract from the failure of "green energy" during this crisis, all while the Biden gang is cutting out the legs of the fossil fuel industry.

Congress was off. It was a long planned vacation with his family. Another manufactured much ado about nothing moment by the Dems and MSM. Except it wasn't... Text messages sent from Ms. Cruz to friends and Houston neighbors on Wednesday revealed a hastily planned trip. Their house was “FREEZING,” as Ms. Cruz put it — and she proposed a getaway until Sunday. Ms. Cruz invited others to join them at the Ritz-Carlton in Cancún, where they had stayed “many times,” noting the room price this week ($309 per night) and its good security. The text messages were provided to The New York Times and confirmed by a second person on the thread, who declined to be identified because of the private nature of the texts.www.nytimes.com/2021/02/18/us/politics/ted-cruz-storm-cancun.html?auth=login-email&login=emailSo...love Cruz if you wish but please don't lie to protect him. He wouldn't do the same for you. Carry on.

Of course...it had nothing to do with the fact that Texas isn't connected to the nations power grid, and Biden destroyed the ability of Texas to provide power to their customers, all in less than a month in office...he must be the most powerful president ever. Credo, you've outdone yourself for absurdity.

The French Laundry and the Cancun vacation are both examples of dismissive, "let them eat cake" arrogance so often displayed by politicians on both sides who feel they're above the rabble. And as such, they were both incredibly stupid.

I’m not sure what a US senator’s responsibility is in the middle of a snowstorm in his state. Politically, it’s not a good look do use that time to take a vacation, but I don’t know that it represents dereliction of duty. He’s a federal official. Newsom’s faux pas was equally harmless, but it represented a violation of an order that he himself had imposed on everyone else.

Yes, but your side relishes portraying themselves as "men of the people" and "anti-elitist" so you guys get an extra scoop of hypocrisy on top of your cake. Then there's all the dumbass lies Cruz uttered instead of just apologizing...pathetic.

Then there's all the dumbass lies Cruz uttered instead of just apologizing...pathetic. Once again you are concentrating your invective on one side while ignoring the same disease on the other. There are plenty of "dumbass lies" from Democrats as well. Just two days ago Joe Biden stated there was no vaccine when he took office, when in fact over a million doses a day had been ramped up for almost a month. And it seems pretty disingenuous to complain about Cruz not apologizing for going on vacation, but not complaining that Cuomo has not apologized for killing thousands of his constituents. I guess we have different opinions regarding what is "pathetic".
