Hey RSM, a Mike Trout rookie card sold at auction yesterday for $3.9 million, breaking the all-time record set by the famed 1909 Honus Wagner card by $800,000. Inexplicably, a card for your boy, Buster Posey, was not part of the auction.

How much did a Mike Trout World Series ring fetch? You can find one of those with Manti T'eo's girlfriend, Bubba Wallace's noose, and where the evidence for Trump-Russia collusion is held.

How much did a Mike Trout World Series ring fetch? Hey... you stole my line Well, sorry about that. I just need to remind our Mater Dei brethren the actual object of competing is to win. Yes it is nice when people shower you with accolades & money, but if you never win a title, their praise is hollow. For an example, see MD QB's from 2000 thru 2016.

So... La Stella for Barreto?
<scratching head>
Huh?
But “pitching is still a priority?”

Vin Scully just started posting to Twitter, and should be reason enough to sign up for an account.
Dave...check out the call. Pure poetry.

I think we need to make guesses as to when the Twitter mob will try to cancel Vin Scully for saying something no 90 year old man would find offensive...

World War 3 would happen before any mob canceled Vin Scully.

Vin Scully just started posting to Twitter, and should be reason enough to sign up for an account. Dave...check out the call. Pure poetry. Those three batters only took 5 minutes to go down. But to Koufax, with a no-hitter on the line, the bottom of the 9th was an eternity. Scully is a master, and was even then. Radio forces the announcer to fill in the dead air, but not be oppressive with it. You could listen to Scully and be there in the ballpark... at least, I was. good find, Bick.

He also did a really nice job of staying quiet right afterward so you could "feel" the crowd.

He also did a really nice job of staying quiet right afterward so you could "feel" the crowd. That was his style: He did the same thing in Game 1 of the ‘88 World,Series when Gibson tatered off Eckersley in the 9th to win the game.
