Why is it in Hollywood when a martial artiste` takes on 27 opponents simultaneously that they all wait patiently in line to come at him? Hasn't anyone in that town ever been in a street fight? |

There's just a ton of propaganda streaming from both (and maybe more) sides of this fight. And the same people in the media who have lied about virtually everything for the past decade are now telling me how I should feel about a very complex situation over 6,000 miles away that doesn't involve immediate U.S. security interests? I don't know enough to weigh in and am sitting this one out for now. What I can say is that almost every dominant media narrative since 2015 has turned out to be close to the exact opposite of the truth--which someone much wiser than me once said "is the first casualty of war." 1). There are always two versions of reality being presented when war is being waged. Why would you expect this one to be any different? Just because two versions are being presented doesn't mean you can't clearly distinguish the right from the wrong. Are you seriously saying that you are unable to distinguish the accuracy of the perspective being presented by the entire Western world versus that of the Kremlin? 2). Exactly what would involve immediate US security interests? Short of an invasion by Canada or Mexico, do you think that we can return to isolation? What do you think would then happen in Europe and the Far East? 3). I trust you when you say that you don't know enough to weigh in. It's not as though anyone was hoping for you to enlist in the International Brigade. But if you mean by "s itting this one out for now" that you're maintaining a morally neutral stance as regards an unprovoked invasion of a independent European nation by an expansionist authoritarian power that threatens the use of nuclear weapons, then - no offense, my friend - but I would seriously question your definition of morality..................................Luca |

I know I've been guilty of making light of the situation there, but IMO, we need to defend the Ukraine and provide air support, lots of it, at a minimum.
Instead we're sitting on our asses on the sideline with our camera phones watching them get slaughtered, while saying how brave they are.
We failed.

So that neo-Nazi dwarf Putin states that the economic sanctions against Russia are the equivalent of a “declaration of war” whereas his invasion of Ukraine is simply a “military operation.” You have to wonder how many people in Russia are starting to get a “Hey, wait a minute……..” moment when they hear these obvious paradoxes.
I was watching “Anastasia“ with my six year old granddaughter last night and it occurred to me that if shorthand for “Russian asshole“ is “R.ass”, then Russia is being controlled by a “R.assputin.’ Well, it‘s said that history repeats itself………….Luca
