According to Sondheimer, the new requirement that Mater Dei's students live within a 30-mile radius of the school will necessitate that the Monarchs level down to 8-man 8-person football. That was the last straw for Rollo. The secret plan hatched by the "Men in Black" is finally coming together....

The problem is that the only students who'd qualify would be 5'7" Asian kids from St. Barbara and St. Columban. Now that would be embarrassing! |

As far as I know, the L.A. Times has also never had a black head high school football sports reporter. Rather than hiring the most qualified person for the job, perhaps the Times should can Sondheimer and hire a black journalist. You know, for the sake of equity and all. Isn't that what he's implying the Trinity League should do?

Coach Rollinson was in Washington DC today. He was recognized on the floor of the House of Representatives for his more than 40 years of teaching and coaching contributions to his students and athletes. I was utterly shocked that Scott Reid, Eric Sondheimer and Bill Plaschke didn't make the trip so they could write a nice story about him.
