Only slightly off topic here, and please feel, free to delete or move if you desire, but I saw this thread resurface and thought it serendipitous given a conversation I just had today:
A friend of mine who usually makes sense out of conspiracy theories asked when was the last time this country was as divided and contentious as we are today. He suggested, “not since 1860, and we all know what happened that time.”
I knew what was coming and I could not completely disagree with him: “what if the big ‘Bikderberg-type’ secret plan to bring the U.S. to its knees is another civil war? Wouldn’t the run up look just like this?”
Now I am aware that George Soros organizations are behind a lot of the financing of these turmoils, including at least the illegals caravans, and the advent of Antifa... so it is possible that his decades long effort to bring down the U.S. might be accomplished with continuing to promote insurrection and hatred...

I'm pretty convinced there is a concerted effort to keep us at each other's throat. Divide and conquer on full display. Someone is "winning"...it just ain't us.

Just finished reading this, I copied and pasted the opening and closing paragraphs. Goo read in-between where we actually may be at as a nation and or time in history. Are We Headed Toward a Second Civil War?townhall.com/columnists/scottmorefield/2019/11/18/are-we-headed-toward-a-second-civil-war-n2556627
Next to a nuclear strike, foreign invasion, or global pandemic, it’s hard to imagine something as bone-chillingly terrifying as a second hot Civil War. The first one was bad enough, what with the endless carnage and the deaths of over 620,000 soldiers in a time when the U.S. was sparsely populated and wartime technology was in its relative infancy, at least compared to today. Even if the military withheld its most destructive weapons, a modern hot civil war would be disastrous on a scale that’s barely imaginable. It’s a prospect no sane person wants, even on the fringes of the right or the left. Yet, in today’s polarized age, most people now genuinely believe civil war to be a very real possibility. An October Georgetown Institute poll found that the average American believes we are “two-thirds of the way to the edge of a civil war,” while a solid majority believes that “political, racial, and class divisions are getting worse.”~Because as daunting as the prospect of a civil war may be, many conservatives would choose that and all that goes with it – if some form of extreme federalism or non-violent secession doesn’t work – any day of the week over the even more disturbing prospect of being dominated by the political left for the foreseeable future.

We're getting a first hand look at what living under liberal rule is like here in CA. Mix in a zealous governor like Newsom, complete with his penchant for doubling down on ensuring the entire state becomes San Francisco, and this is going to get worse.
I have yet to hear a Democrat rationally explain how their ideas could ever work, let alone point to some example of how it actually did on a smaller scale. Despite this, support for them as leaders is borderline rabid to the point of being ostracized if anyone dares to disagree.
I don't agree with MDDad or others who don't think this is a real possibly within our lifetime.

Bick, I agree. California is a microcosm of what an America governed by the far left would look like. Californians pay more in combined taxes than any other state in the country, yet our educational system is a disaster, our infrastructure is crumbling, we have no solution to affordable housing, we have no clue how to deal with a growing homelessness problem, we adore illegal aliens, and we welcome more of them by the tens of thousands with generous state benefits. And all the while we spend money on a bullet train to nowhere that nobody wants, we spend legislative time on banning plastic straws, our prisons are overcrowded and our solution is to release criminals back onto the streets, we teach the appreciation of gender fluidity to our elementary students, and we fantasize about fighting climate change when the state's contribution to that problem is less than 1% of the world's total.
The left is excellent at envisioning panacea solutions to real and imagined problems. But when it comes to managing real-world projects to completion, they are as impotent as a 90-year-old eunuch.

Count me in. Especially because I have grown children & now grandchildren, I would definitely fight & be willing to lose my life than have some liberal dystopian future destroy this nation and their future. If they want to leave us be, fine. They can live their lives, we can live our lives. However, if they insist on taking our freedom a bite at a time, I would be willing to step up in any manner to stop them.

I am concerned what might happen if the Left wins in 2020. Yes, no matter who wins in 2020, it may be just one more step towards a civil war, considering how divided, intolerant, and vitriolic both sides have become.

Great. Now you're posting nonsense from InfoWars. ROFL.
You actually believe there's a person who tastes trump's food to make sure it isn't poisoned? Amazing.
