Forum name is OC Politics and Sports. The non-lib part of the web address wasn't very well thought through. It's kind of off putting I think. Have you asked if it can be changed yet still contain all the content we have so far accumulated and contributed? Another thought before this thread get hijacked...., should the 7v7 subject be moved into the HS Football thread?

Good Day Gentle Folk!
Congrats on the site, wondering what the kerfuffle was...sometimes you just need to take a break so was waiting for the comeback and it was or is a mass migration no pun intended...I would be up for buying a new HS sports forum t-shirt to wear at local events to help get the word out...make it Edgy and Mad as in Mad Men...good graphic!
The dude abides...

Well I think you've earned your GREEN CARD! But if you snuck in you will be handed a yellow card and possibly a RED CARD should you commit any other crimes!

Appreciated and well earned. CDM rolled past CAPO VALLEY, NORCO, OLYMPUS UTAH, SERVITE, CORONA CENTENNIAL, MISSION VIEJO before running up against the nations #1 ranked pre-season team by most accounts. Best part of the day had to be the semi-finals with the two best publics and the two best privates going at it. both one score games and I won't lie, beating MV on their home field in the battle of the publics was a sweet moment! Long hot day..., CDM had to go two way play in GOLD ROUNDS as they just do not have the depth that their opponents do. CDM also played with all three starting senior DB's, two out with injury and one back east on college recruit trip. John Humphreys had to be MVP of the tourneys, guy was just brilliant today.

John Humphreys was pretty spectacular today. Josh Alford was having all kinds of problems trying to guard him.
Logan Loya was Bosco's MVP today. Clutch, clutch, clutch.
Bosco's defense looked much better against MD this time around. The game was never really in doubt. Up 2 td's for pretty much most of the game.

According to one report on TOB, Servite went for two against Bosco in the first round of the Gold (Championship) bracket, and lost 28-27. 3-1 in pool play.
Passing semi-finals were Bosco over MD by 7, and CDM over Mission Viejo. Don't know the score. Then Bosco over CDM.
I understand Mission Viejo won the linemen competition. Anybody got any other info on the linemen competition?

Was there a consolation bracket at Mission Viejo? I noticed J. Serra, like in the Edison tourney, didn't make the championship bracket again. Are they overrated? I doubt it. They will be better in real football, I believe.

John Humphreys was pretty spectacular today. Josh Alford was having all kinds of problems trying to guard him. "Negro was impressed with Humphreys, who caught two TDs in the final.
“He’s as good as anybody we have faced,” Negro said. “Without question.”

Anybody got any other info on the linemen competition? they didn't do a great job with keeping everyone informed about the lineman competition. The Bosco boys thought they were in the lead headed into the final comp (tug of war). But, they were actually in 2nd. It was MV, SJB, and MD heading into the last comp. Bosco dominated MD but had to pick up and go against MV minutes after. MV was just too strong.
