You guys want to kill innocent babies for the sake of convenience but you want to let live those criminals convicted of heinous crimes. That boggles the mind. The bottom line is that those who are pro abortion but anti death penalty are cowards. You don't have the character or integrity to do what is right and you try to hide behind false choices to rationalize your lack of intestinal fortitude. I agree with RSM, here: No one who condones the killing of babies for no better reason than the mother’s vanity or insecurity gets to claim the moral high ground on issues like keeping weapons from law-abiding citizens or punishing lawbreakers with no conscience.

Using statistics from 2017, for example: Executions 23 Gun Deaths 39,773 Abortion deaths 862,320 While the gun deaths figure is troubling, the last figure seems far more troubling to me, than the other two combined. About 2167% more troubling actually. |

I agree, but what you fail to note is that no one here "condones the killing of babies for no better reason than the mother's vanity or insecurity". Your arguments are hysterical and emotional.
I would also add that no one who condones the killing of an adult by the state can claim the moral high ground on this issue, or any other.

1. I'm one guy. 2. I don't want to kill any babies. 3. I certainly don't want anyone getting an abortion for "convenience". 4. It's not that I want criminals to live, but rather I don't want the government to kill anyone. 1. You may be one guy, but when you are attached to another guy like a caterpillar, you count as two guys. 2. And I don't want to kill people committed of heinous crimes. Yet when we remove the semantics, you want to allow babies to be killed and I want to allow heinous criminals to be killed. The fact that neither of us actually want to do it is irrelevant. 3. Doesn't matter what you want, the fact that you allow it to happen means you condone it. You have chosen to allow abortion for any reason, including convenience. 4. Anyone? I'd bet that stance would change if a criminal was getting ready to rape you and a (government) sniper had a bead on him for a headshot. How about if we put doctors who perform abortions in charge of executing heinous criminals? You currently have no issue with those guys executing people and they aren't the government. As an aside, I have always found the argument that one is against the death penalty because they don't want the government killing anyone is likely to come from those who propose a larger government for society. The irony is if you are for government running healthcare, then you are also allowing the government to choose who lives and who dies, which is in effect killing people. |

To #3, he’s either lying or ignorant if the facts. In states where statistics are kept, it is invariably shown, year after year, that “rape” and continuation of life of the mother are given as the reason for abortion in only >2% of cases.
Reasons given for the remaining 98%+ can all be boiled down to inconvenience or insecurity.
So, anyone supporting abortion on demand is deceiving themselves if they cannot acknowledge those simple facts.
