C'mon SK80. He needs to get some film, and that wasn't going to happen at MD.
As for Jaden, if you xfer, you should expect that others will as well.
Playing recreational HS football with your buddies is limited to the lower divisions for the most part unless you're in an area like CDM that makes xferring damn near impossible with the high cost of housing there.

Trivia question: The D-1 finals this year will be played at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum to help celebrate the fact that the venue is 100 years old this year. In fact, the first football game ever played there was a hundred years ago last month, and the matchup was a real odd one. Anyone care to guess who played? Luca probably remembers because he was there, so he can't participate.

I would have picked UCLA and USC. I got it half right. What, no ice hockey? Here is a picture from that game:

Oh wait, you are talking HS. Never mind. I'll never guess that one. Abraham Lincoln High School - Founded in 1878 vs San Fernando High School - Founded in 1896

Yes, I believe Luca was might have been there in 1923 but at least he paid full fare for his ticket, you as an inaugural member of Triple AAA (1902) were too cheap and used a discount to attend...

The first football game ever played at the Coliseum in October, 1923, was indeed USC vs. Pomona. The first "high school" football game every played there was a week or two later when the Saints of Santa Ana High School played the USC freshman team.

The Coliseum site claims the USC vs Pomona-Pitzer game was the second game of a double header, with the first game being the USC freshman "Peagreeners" playing Santa Ana High School.

I don't think we have a difference of opinion as much as we may have a differene in 100 year-old sources. While the date may be in doubt, the opponents are not.

Tough loss for the Griffins on Friday, but I've got to say I really enjoyed this playoff season a lot more than the last two, with one of the biggest reasons was knowing we had a shot at winning it all.
Teams 5-8 in D1 belonged in D2 this year as they have for each of the past 5 years or so.
As for the game itself, the team that won made the plays they had to at critical points in the game while the team that lost didn't. I think a part of that has to do with the leagues we're both in. Talent wise, it was a pretty even match.
Entertaining even if the outcome was disappointing. I think that's a success with the design of the system.
