Looks like Garber will have 2 So Cal TEs to throw to at UW now. Didn't think UW ran 12 personnel very often. Assuming Garbers starts right! This next level is a tough game as you will have to win the job from a cast of recruits that are usually a 4 star or even a 5 to get playing time. During your early career there will be class guys ahead of you and coming in from behind you. For example Ethan brother Chase at Cal waited a year as a redshirt, then won the QB job while platooning basically amongst the starting QB in place and another transfer from South Carolina. Chase will be Cal's starting QB this year after beating out Tesoro's Devon Modster whom transferred to Cal thinking he had a shot to beat out Garbers for the job. Should Chase struggle you know where Cal will go again, QB rotation to win the job. It's brutal. Regarding Ethan, I can't be more impressed on how he has handled the past few years, being in the shadow of his brother as well as a guy whom was going to have to leave his school possibly because of General Booty. Booty's departure was a hard hit for CDM and yes it opened the door for Ethan to step in but what he had done with tax opportunity is impressive under any circumstance, he is competing right now at the ELITE 11 in Frisco Texas chosen as one of the TOP 20 QB's in the country. Enough said. Regarding the TE situation at Washington for the Huskies. Joining CDM's Mark Redman from the class of 2020 is La Habra's Mason West. Redman is a 4 star 6'6 255 lbs guy ranked #8 in the country by 247sports. West is a 3 star 6'3" 240 lbs guy ranked #49 by 247sports. Washington has a great TE regime and they have NFL draft upper class guys and they did not recruit a TE in 2019. They are going for future depth here. Redman has all the makings and size to play on Sundays. I hear it often at the camps and comps. Many thought his eventual playing size would get him moved to offensive line but he has maintained his skill sets to be a top notch receiver. WE call him the" OC Gronk"! That said we will all get to see both these TE"s compete this summer in 7v7 as well as on the field. And in D3 possibly against each other come CIF. Both CDM and LH will be dangerous teams come playoffs in what looks like a very deep division. CDM is chomping to get a re-match with Grace!

It gets narrowed to 11. For as high profile as this event is one must rely on outside writers, analysts and recruiting scouts to tweet what the heck is going on. I know the linemen stuff is happening today. At the end of Day 3 Bryce was #3 and Ethan #11. Not sure however if that was the final cut?

Here are your Elite 11 QB's for 2019/Class of 2020. Congrats to Rancho Cucamonga's C.J. Stroud on MVP honors..... Standing O for Bryce whom performed at the top all 4 days and Ethan for leading his team to a semi-final game OT win and a FINAL appearance on day 4.

I told ya'll last season.... Garbers was headed to UW and he was gonna take OC guys with him...., he convinced Mark Redman and worked on Myles as did Mark. These are signs of leadership quality...
Husky FootballSports Four-star 2020 offensive lineman Myles Murao verbally commits to UW Huskies on Fourth of July
By Mike Vorel Seattle Times staff reporter At 1:37 p.m. on Sunday, Ethan Garbers dropped an enormous clue.
“This 2020 class is about to get a whole lot better! #PurpleReign #GODAWGS”, the three-star Washington football commit tweeted.
Now, consider this: Garbers recently participated in The Opening finals in Dallas. Four-star Mater Dei (Calif.) offensive lineman Myles Murao also attended said recruiting event.
You didn’t have to be a trained detective to arrive at the correct answer.
Regardless, Murao put an end to the speculation on Thursday — the Fourth of July — when the 6-foot-2, 306-pounder set off some social media fireworks by announcing his verbal commitment to UW. pbs.twimg.com/ext_tw_video_thumb/1146929675324645376/pu/img/-alTUEMVK9W8gu8B?format=jpg&name=small

One of the VERY best business schools in the country just got an outstanding QB That is an excellent choice for the kid........BUT, he will likely have to sit behind Nick Robinson next year who is already at Penn and formerly of JSerra/Georgia. There are 3 or 4 kids from JSerra at Penn. If HSFB can get you into an Ivy League school you've won the lottery.......................Luca

No kidding. Ivy or a military academy appointment is where I'd be pushing unless they're legit NFL draft caliber.

Odd that Elias Ricks chose Calabasas for his senior semester. Maybe the thinking is they'll be competing in D2 for a ring?

If it's the ELITE 11, why are there 20 quarterbacks competing? It's like the last weekend of March Madness having seven schools in the Final Four. There used to be just 11, when it was a smaller affair run by Bob Johnson in San Juan Capistrano at the old Schuler complex. I used to go to it to watch because my son was asked to be a wide receiver, despite the fact that he was a TE/DE. It used to serve as a recruiting device for Mission Viejo, but I digress……. I remember going there and seeing Carson Palmer, Chris Rix, Matt Leinart, Matt Gutierrez, Malaefou MacKenzie, Matt Cassel, Mark Sanchez, Alex Smith, Joey Harrington (I think) and a bunch of others I cannot recall My son came back from one session after having worked out with this quarterback from Purdue by the name of Brees and saying he was a nice guy but awfully intense and wanted his routes run precisely so or else he was not happy……………………………………..Luca

Recent news MDD? Can Calabasas finally break through and win a CIF state title? One of the most talent-laden squads in the state will be the Coyotes, with two of the top wide receivers in the nation (Johnny Wilson & Jermaine Burton) being targeted by the prolific Jaden Casey. Head coach Chris Claiborne has additional top players on the roster plus key transfer Elias Ricks from Mater Dei. Calabasas has had a ton of talent before, though, and hasn’t yet even reached a CIF state final. As a CIFSS D2 school, the Coyotes wouldn’t have to worry about playing either Mater Dei or St. John Bosco to win that title. They could win a D2 section crown and then would likely look at being in the D1-A or D2-AA state bowl games. We’ll find out a lot about them in an early matchup vs. JSerra of San Juan Capistrano. The Trinity League squad beat Calabasas 49-21 last season. www.calhisports.com/2019/07/07/fb-preview-eight-burning-questions/
