It's interesting that Gavin Newsom dropped his prohibition against door-to-door physical contacts in order to facilitate ballet-harvesting by Democrats in this district. I guess the threat from this death virus takes a back seat when it comes to holding on to a House seat.

I hope to God Orange County opens up soon. If this report is true, I'll just drive 10 minutes to Los Alamitos or Seal Beach for restaurants, beaches, and a haircut.

So, I've been keeping an eye on Mono County as we have two trips (one fishing, one backpacking) planned for mid and late July.
The fishing season was delayed until June 1st (God knows why). Mono County is claiming that because they've had two cases in the last 14 days, they cannot move into Phase 2.
Are you kidding me? I can't think of a more isolationist activity than fishing and camping.

The end game of all of this is to create enough economic misery to (1) defeat Donald Trump in November, and (2) install liberal wish-list items that could never be accepted without the fear of COVID-19 death and the despair of sustained government shutdowns. The Left doesn't see this is a tragedy but, rather, as an opportunity. For them the end always justifies the means. The good news is, it ain't gonna work. The majority of voters are wise enough to see through all this and will deliver Trump a second term--by an even wider margin than in 2016. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. |

Good news. This was Katie Hill's seat (and the district went +6 for Clinton) and is now flipping back to the GOP. Let's just hope the results don't switch ten days from now because of "mail-in ballots." Even though the seat was Republican up to 2018, having it flip like this is a bad sign for the Democrats--and perhaps for Gavin Newsom as well. While California has been trending bluer and bluer for decades now, this is the first time since 1998 that a Congressional district in CA is flipping from Blue to Red. That's huge!

Citrus city grille went back to take out only again after getting slammed on their website. This from a supportive Yelp review... "I called in to schedule a DINE IN reservation based on the fact that online, it said in summary that they were going to go against orders for the sake of survival of the business, and I for one wanted to show up to support and also enjoy their great food with amazing service I've received in the past SEVERAL TIMES. Folks, Steve, whom is the owner answered the phone and I cannot begin to tell you how defeated he sounded. It broke my heart when he told me that code enforcement came in and threatened to take their license if they continued to take Dine in. Steve and citrus city grille staff, please hang in there, I promise to dine in as soon as you open those doors and allow your patrons to come support your wonderful business, I'm sure plenty more feel the same way." |
