Last week, I came down with [something]: weakness/muscle fatigue cough mild fever mild headache (although that might have been a symptom of not having any caffeine)
It might have been Omicron, it might have been Flumicron/flurona, It might have been flu...
I took nothing except Zinc for it (Zicam is what I take for every cold or flu... zicam is chelated zinc). Cough still lingers even today, but primary symptoms were gone after 3 days. I thought about getting tested, even made an appointment, but cancelled it when symptoms started to diminish on their own because I don't trust them to call it what it is (or was) and did not want my name entered in the contact-tracing database if they were calling everything "Covid-positive"
My opinion is, this whole thing, the "pandemic." the social crapola distancing, masks, hospitalizations, vaccines/boosters. hysteria... all of it is a farce.

I hope it is a farce Dave, but I also have hesitancy to do things that should be OK to do as an American. There is a huge witch hunt now for conservatives.
You are older now (not me though ), but what if you are a young person and a POSITIVE test affects your ability to acquire health insurance somewhere down the line. Or, what if the vaccines cause some weird blood disorder 10 years down the road. Will young people have trouble finding insurance because their name popped up in a database. I understand your hesitancy to get tested, but young people have even more to lose actuarily (there is a big word you might appreciate). I agree with Rand Paul, the feds should NOT have a database with this stuff in it.

I guess they decided to ignore hundreds of years of science and logic for the past two years, eh?

But there's no such thing as a head cold any more. You had the Zion.3 variant.

Testing positive is the only thing that matters. Just run it through the cycles.

The last time we had Covid the indicators were MUCH easier to identify, especially the loss of taste and smell (Delta, clearly).
This time around, I literally have no idea and I refuse to get tested. I'm just going to assume I got it again and move on with my life.
The fiancee did not get it this time.

I think I may have it for the second time in three months.
And I couldn't care less.

However, with Delta, it was different. We lost our smell and taste in the same day all symptoms hit AND it lasted more than two weeks. Sinus infection usually takes a few days and my sense of smell and taste dips in and out.
