Servite just sent out a communication that the school is reviewing whether Newsom's requirements apply to private Catholic schools. I'm sure everyone in the Trinity League is looking at the same question. If they don't, he will let you open and then find a way to close you right after......

Private/parochial schools are part of his guidelines. Sounds like 80% of the private schools fall into this so it’s mainly county based and whether said county falls into one of the counties he has mentioned as hot spots. Orange country is one on the list

We can forget about schools opening and high school sports until after the presidential election. Democrats believe that this type of disruption to the American way of life is the only way they can get Dementia Joe elected. They could careless about the damaged done to educational progress and mental health of the students. Recent studies from the University of Vermont and Stanford's Hoover Institute show that school age kids are rarely affected by the virus and don't spread it to adults. Governor Snowflakes decision was purely political. Hopefully enough private schools can join together in a lawsuit against the Governor's tyrannical action.

I wish someone would propose a schedule of low risk sports in the fall. That would leave more room for higher risk sports in the winter and spring. Play baseball, softball, boys & girls tennis, golf , and cross country now.

What a great idea! Seems I've heard that somewhere before.

Democrat governors will not allow any sense of normalcy to pervade until after the election. The "safety first" b.s. they have been shoveling for four months gives them political cover to justify shutting down anything and everything. It's all about getting rid of Trump. But it won't work. Too many people are seeing through it.

Does the CIF expect the virus to be over with on November 4th? What’s the difference between playing now vs. in January?

What’s the difference between playing now vs. in January? In January, Trump will be either a second term lame duck president or out on his ass.

Either way, the CIF is making an assumption that this thing is going to be better by January which is contrary to the “second wave” predictions by Fauci and the CDC. $100 on fall sports being canceled come December.

A whole lot of assumptions are being made. BUT, all they can do is postpone the season and hope for the best. They have 5 months to figure out if this is going to be playable or not. There's no reason to cancel the entire season without seeing how things "hopefully" progress in a positive way. Do i think it will get played? No. But its ok to have some hope.

Sorry but the adage "HOPE" reminds me of the Obama years too much, "HOPE = DOPE".
