It's been a bad start to 2021. In just 36 days we've lost Tanya Roberts, Tommy Lasorda, Siegfried, Hank Aaron, Hal Holbrook, Larry King, Cloris Leachman, Cicely Tyson and Christopher Plummer. Maybe they knew something we don’t, and got out while the getting’s good.,, |

I hate to dance, and very rarely do so. But I would love to be able to do the Laendler that he and Julie Andrews do. Easily my favorite scene in the movie.

As a heterosexual man in a roomful of heterosexual men, I'm almost embarrassed to admit that's probably one of my 20 or 30 favorite movies of all time. Maybe it's an Austrian thing.

I watched the movie again earlier this week, and I had to edit out the word 'Easily." There are just too many great scenes in that movie, like this one, when it becomes clear to all that music has returned to that home...thanks to Fraulein Maria.
