I thought what would be over the top was on Biden's first day in office when he decreed that males can compete as females in athletics. I still can't figure out why that one didn't blow up in their face.

I suspect that he's cherry-picking some of the symbolic big ticket items for the leftist ideologues in the Democratic party so as to demonstrate his "street creds", as it were. You know, like he's down with the "transgender athlete community." I have a hard time believing that's an actual power bloc/swing vote in any political party, but then I've never attended a Democratic committee meeting. For all I know, for them that's right up there with global warming, Confederate statues and Hollywood virtue signaling. Hard to understand how some of those people think.
But you're right. It does seem little odd that your initial move on your first day in office is to fearlessly step right into that prominent national morass of transgender track athletes. Boy, there's one crisis solved. Not quite FDR or Lincoln like, is it? Way to go there, Big Joe. You wonder if when he came home that night he gushed to his wife "Guess what I did today!"
(As an aside, try to imagine yourself as a guy who decides that he's a girl and competes in girl's basketball and track or whatever. So you demolish people half your size and strength. Seriously, you get some sort of adrenaline rush or feeling of accomplishment from that? It'd feel like kicking ass in your 7-year-old son's touch football game. You'd think it would be embarrassing.)
Tomorrow he's going to tackle transgender bathrooms in elementary schools. The man's absolutely fearless...........Luca

There is going to be a reaction against the PC/cancel culture, and that right soon. When it's getting to the point that Abraham Lincoln, Dr. Suess and Tom Sawyer are being villainized, a blowback of commonsense is inevitable. Pretty much everybody is getting outrage-fatigued and the entire concept is becoming a source of humor, which is always a bad sign for your cause........... Dr. Suess? Like they couldn't have picked a more asinine target to make themselves look foolish?. ......Luca Luca, tell me how it is that when the publishers of the Dr. Seuss books decide to stop printing six of his books because they are not selling (not to mention wildly racist imagery), that you come to the conclusion that the 'left' is "cancelling" Dr. Seuss and engaging in PC foolishness? Please explain your reasoning in this mater. I'm curious why one of the smartest people on this forum would engage in such blatant silliness. |
