This is a tough one, actually. "Bob" is clearly an anachronistic gender-binary appellation. "Bobbie" is occasionally used by cis-gender individuals with two X chromosomes, but for that reason again it's too noninclusive. We need a nonjudgmental, all-inclusive name for the clearly gender fluid icon-formally-known-as-"Bob." Pat? Lex? Moonbeam? MDDad? We need to get a consensus here. Further, "big" can be used as a closet pejorative for the body-mass-index disadvantaged. Possible alternatives include "othersized", "gravitationally challenged", or the current widely used but mediocre "plus-sized." "Boy" is clearly a remnant of the white male aristocracy's well-documented penchant for using hidden symbols and signs to oppress people of color, other examples being statues of Ulysses Grant and Abraham Lincoln, memorials to 9/11, and Mount Rushmore. Some of our naïve, unawakened colleagues have suggested the word "human", not realizing that the presence of the derivative "man" clearly suggests XY superiority/dominance. How long, oh Lord? Similarly, "personage" is clearly unacceptable given its middle syllable. "Biped" should be considered, implying as it does the obvious equality of all primates and the rejection of the speciesist assumption of homo sapiens superiority. "Soul"? "Individual"? Personally, I would have to go with " Moonbeam's Other-Sized Biped". Granted, it doesn't quite roll off the tongue but I'm confident none of us will be offended which, after all, is the purpose of the English language. Other opinions are welcome..............................Luca It doesn't get any easier as you move across the states: For reasons I was never able to (or interested enough to) determine, different states used different names for their Big Boy restaurants: In Oklahoma, for example, it was Kip's Big Boy...

"Biped" should be considered, implying as it does the obvious equality of all primates and the rejection of the speciesist assumption of homo sapiens superiority. How shortsighted of you to assume the term "biped" could ever be acceptable to most of us. "Bi" implies the entity has two legs with which to ambulate, which is a notion that is abhorrent to most amputees and other thinking people. "Bi" also implies bisexuality, which is again a disgusting assumption, not only to those of us cursed enough to be straight, but also to all members of the LGBTQABCDEFGHIJKL, etc., community who are anything but bi. And "ped" is a shortened colloquialism for pedophile, a demographic that perhaps only perverts Boy Scoutmasters and some priests may sympathize with. So please give a little more thought to terms you propose as acceptable. The bottom line is that there aren't any, and no words in the English language can any longer be assumed to be inoffensive to all groups. There are just too many snowflakes in the sky.

A fourth grade teacher asked the children in her class what their fathers did for a living.
All the typical answers came up - fireman, mechanic, businessman, salesman and so forth.
However, little Freddy was being uncharacteristically quiet, so when the teacher prodded him about his father, he replied, "My father's an exotic dancer in a gay cabaret and takes off all his clothes in front of other men and they stuff money in his underwear. Sometimes, if the offer is really good, he will go home with some guy and stay with him all night for money."
The teacher, obviously shaken by this statement, hurriedly set the other children to work on some exercises and took little Freddy aside. "Is that really true about your father?"
"No," the boy said, "He actually works for the Democratic National Committee and helped get Joe Biden elected, but it's too embarrassing to say that in front of the other kids."

A man doing market research for the Vaseline Company knocked at the door and was greeted by a young woman with three small children running around at her feet. He told her, "I'm doing some research for Vaseline. Have you ever used the product?" She said, "Yes, my husband and I use it all the time." "If you don't mind my asking," he said, "what do you use it for?" "We use it for sex," she said. The researcher was a little taken aback. "Usually people lie to me and say they use it on a child's bicycle chain or to help with a gate hinge. But, in fact, I know that most people do use it for sex. I admire you for your honesty. Since you've been so frank so far, can you tell me exactly HOW you use it for sex?" The woman said, "I don't mind telling you at all. My husband and I put it on the doorknob and it keeps the kids out."

This guy walks into his favorite tavern and sees a beautiful young woman sitting at the bar, having a drink alone. Feeling confident, he walks up to her and says, "Hi, what's your name?" She answers, "Hi, I'm Carmen." He says, "That's a pretty name. Did your parents name you that?" And she replies, "No, I picked it myself." He says, "So why Carmen?" She says, "Because I REALLY love cars and I REALLY love men. What's you name?" He answers, "Beerfuck."

Did you ever wonder why "our generation" is not so easily offended? I have, and I think I might have come up with a reason (or reasons): - George Carlin
- Blazing Saddles
- Archie Bunker
- Sanford & Son
- Richard Pryor
- George Jefferson
- ...

Another reason is that our generation grew up, became adults with adult responsibilities, and remembered "sticks and stones". The current crop of woke-ists haven't achieved any of those things.

Vilepagan finally annouced on TOB that he was banned here, and Wabash rushed to his defense with a scathing rebuke of this board, even though he claims he's never seen it. Omar Bongo and Fordama didn't comment because, well, they're as gone as we are.
