Wow, I didn't think anyone could rebut the fine pastor's words but I thought someone would have the courage to try...guess I was wrong. All I got was a stupid picture of Bill Barr. Didn't even read it. There are something like 350 million people in this country. Are we supposed to be surprised that there is one pastor who doesn't like Trump? GTFOH Of course you didn't read it...it was truthful and honest in its appraisal of trump...you can't have that. No you shouldn't be surprised that a person who professes to be Christian would not like trump...you should be surprised that anyone who professes to be a Christian would like trump. But then again, you only care about people who 'profess' to be Christian. Actual Christian values mean nothing to you...at least they mean less than your political beliefs. Lastly, you really shouldn't brag about your ignorance.

Oh no, I'm left speechless by your brilliant and concise rejoinder. What's next...nyah nyah?
Ay any rate do let me know if anyone has any actual response to the pastors accurate and truthful assessment of trump and "Christian" trump supporters. Carry on.

Again.......
Moses was a murder. Noah was a drunk. King David committed adultery. Simon the tax collector. Mary Magdalene was a prostitute. Saul was a murderer. Jonah was a coward.
Donald Trump is not my Pastor and Chief. IMO the most Christian President in my lifetime was President Carter and he sucked as President.

Great observations... and something I have understood for a very long time. again, I’m not voting for a mate or a saint... I’m voting for someone who actually does stuff that benefits the country.

For my part I don't think I can totally give up my interest in politics, but this observation is 100% correct--which is why our society's problems can never be solved by politics alone.

I will go a step further, Credo:
Like you, I’m also not willing to give up on politics, but I am quite well aware that nothing... nothing at all... save the Holy Spirit can rescue us. Even as strongly as I also believe It will not.
This nation has turned its back on God and we have, IMO, been put on a back shelf until we turn back to Him.

I decided to put this here because it is, IMO, about my reaction and not so much about the potential VP: Christian Headlines magazine carried an article, KAMALA HARRIS’ PASTOR REBUKES PRESIDENT TRUMP FOR CALLING HER A MONSTER
what piqued my interest was twofold: - Why would Kamala Harris darken the doorstep of any church? And
- What was this pastors reasoning?
To my first concern, it is none of my business. God is her judge, not me.
and that is my response, also, to the Pastor: God is the president’s judge, not the pastor. When he accuses Trump of a “...pretense of Christianity,” he has inserted himself into God’s role every bit as much as I would if I judged Kamala Harris’ reasons for associating with a church.
He has ... and they have and we have ... every right to our own opinions. We have no right, neither responsibility, to judge the salvation of another.

Looks like the pope has a different interpretation of the Bible than his predecessors with the same sex union endorsement.

Let's not be so low key Bick... Pope Francis Calls For Same-Sex Civil Union Law In New DocumentaryPope Francis has called for legislation to protect same-sex couples, according to comments he made in a new documentary that mark a break from Catholic doctrine.
"Homosexuals have a right to be a part of the family. They are children of God and have a right to a family," the pope said in an interview in the documentary Francesco, which premiered Wednesday at the Rome Film Festival. "What we have to create is a civil union law. That way they are legally covered."
Francis noted he has stood up for civil unions before, but his remarks in the documentary go beyond what he has said previously and sharply diverge from the view of his predecessors. LGBTQ rights groups hailed the comments as a major step but, along with conservative religious groups, they raised questions about the context of the quotes delivered in a movie and how much weight the comments held.www.npr.org/2020/10/21/926219084/pope-francis-calls-for-same-sex-civil-union-law-in-new-documentaryEnjoy.
