Why does it matter if the election is close? It doesn't...unless you're a Republican and it's 2016...then you use it as a bullshit excuse not to give the President a vote on his nominee. It has been patiently explained to you several times that Garland didn’t stand a chance. Stop beating a dead horse, you sound like an unhinged banshee.

Ironic--I guess we'll have to throw Colin Kaepernick's white adoptive parents into the basket of deplorable "white colonialists."

It is my erstwhile and, now, strongly held opinion McConnell erred in no giving Merrill Garland a confirmation hearing. I believe he would have been rejected, but the president nominated him in March which would have given the Senate plenty of time. Since they did not, the democrats get to throw up [ sic] the “double standard” trope, now. They don’t have a valid point because, again, they accuse republicans of doing that of which they are culpable: If Obama’s candidate should have gotten a hearing, then so should Trumps candidate(s)... one of those sauce for the goose, gravy for the gander things.

while Trump is the one with sincerity. With all due respect, Trump having the streets around the White House cleared so he could cross the street and stand in front of a church holding a Bible is not what I'd consider the picture of sincerity. Trump didn't "have the streets cleared", he never gave that order nor made that decision. He wanted to go to that church, being as it had been set ablaze the night before and others made the decisions as to what should be done in order to safely have the President walk over there. Walking to that church is something many presidents had done, being it was so close to the White House. Blaming Trump for the decision as to what was needed is typical fake news. It is usually followed by "why did he need to go to the church"? Of course we know, had he not gone to see what the violence of the night before had caused, he would have been accused of hiding in the bunker. We get it, you don't like him. No need to blame him for everything.

Lies come so easily to you. You're an idiot and a liar. Please show proof of Bidens actions that match up to the tenets of Catholicism. Since you are not well versed in Catholicism, please know that just showing up at church, humming a few hymns and going to communion does not make you Catholic. The things one must do to truly be Catholic Biden doesn't do. We're waiting...

It might piss off hardcore lefties like Vile Pagan.... Also, if you consider me to be a "hardcore leftie" .... Your claim that Trump has done nothing you like definitely makes you a hardcore leftie. Only a stupid hardcore leftie would make such an inane statement and then later attempt to defend it. Embrace your comrades, you dumb leftie.

I honestly couldn’t give a single rat’s ass about the opinion of an extremist outlier. Vile pagan?

A hardcore leftie would never put up with an insufferable moron like you for as long as I have. Carry on. VP, I have to admit, good buddy, that is truly funny. What other options do you have other than to put up with him? It's your reason for living. Your only options are to leave or smack him with your purse. I'm glad you found that humorous but I'm definitely not your buddy. I have the same options you have if you don't like it here...you can leave, and so can I. He's definitely not my reason for living...he's my reason for laughing quite often but I don't take him or any of you very seriously. Also, I know this is hard for someone with your middle-school mentality to understand, but I don't have a purse. Carry on.

It is my erstwhile and, now, strongly held opinion McConnell erred in no giving Merrill Garland a confirmation hearing. Of course he did. It was a bone-headed move. As has been pointed out repeatedly he had the votes to deny Garland the seat, what did he have to lose by giving the guy a vote? Nothing. What did he lose by refusing the vote...nothing but his credibility. It was a way to make enemies that he could have avoided but instead he walked right in. There will be consequences for such a bad decision.

No need to blame him for everything. I don't blame him for everything, only the stupid things. You might recall I praised his getting four countries to sign peace treaties with Israel as being potentially hugely significant. But standing in front of that church with a Bible he's probably never seen before, posing like some kind of devout Billy Graham impersonator was way over the top. Donald Trump posing with a Bible is completely incongruous, like Terry Bradshaw posing with a GOAT trophy.

... Donald Trump posing with a Bible is completely incongruous... Why? I find it admirable that a person who doesn't lead a Christian life acknowledges the good things Christianity & the Bible bring to our world. Think about that. People like Bill Maher don't lead a Christian life and spend every waking moment attacking those people who do. There is something to be said for the person who can respect a belief that he either doesn't have or doesn't agree with.
