Well here we are, in what has been hyped as an all or nothing, polls now show historic numbers may watch yet 87% already will not change their minds or vote. Have we ever lived in such polarized times? Have we ever been so divided? I really thought a month ago this would be the game changer, if that is performs like he has on the campaign trail. The media however in ever protecting this guy has set the bar so low that all he has to do is not get knocked out, if he can simply be standing at the bell watch for a controversial split decision called by the media, Biden wins simps by finishing even if he loses every round. First presidential debate predicted to get 74% of voters watching, poll finds 87% of respondents said the debate is unlikely to change their votes www.foxnews.com/politics/voters-watch-first-debate-poll
Nearly three in four voters plan to watch Tuesday's first 2020 presidential debate at 9 p.m. ET in Cleveland, Ohio, a new Monmouth University poll found.
The poll, which surveyed 809 registered U.S. voters between Sept. 24 and 27, found that 74% of respondents plan to watch what is expected to be a heated conversation between President Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden, with "Fox News Sunday" anchor Chris Wallace moderating the event.
HOW TO WATCH FOX NEWS COVERAGE OF THE FIRST TRUMP-BIDEN DEBATE IN OHIO
Of those respondents, 78% of Democrats said they plan to tune in, compared to 76% of Republicans and 70% of Independents.
Those who plan to watch, however, doubt the debate will change their minds about a particular candidate.
Only 3% of respondents said they are very likely to hear something that will change their votes, versus 10% who said it is somewhat likely and 87% who said it is unlikely.

FOX and other conservative news outlets have lowered the bar so much for Joe Binden that if he can last the 90 minuets he will be seen as a winner. IMO all Joe will say is Orangeman Bad.

Are any of us going to watch?
I will wait for the Wednesday morning summaries. I’ve suggested to @realdonaldtrump, on Twitter, that he go easy on Biden lest he come off as a bully on a frail, dottering old, man. But Imdoubt he even read it, never mind believe he will heed it.
I don’t need to watch the hammering.

What an embarrassment
Anyone who watched:
1. Did it change your mind?
2. Did it make you involuntarily shake your head sadly?
3. Did you either switch to something else or run screaming from the room?

Against my better judgment, I forced myself to watch this fiasco, and I came away with the impression that Trump may have lost the election tonight. He came out with a chip on his shoulder and a burr of his ass, determined to act like the playground bully, and I was embarrassed for him. He was infinitely better against Hillary Clinton than he presented tonight. He was constantly butting heads with Chris Wallace and attacking Biden personally. His constant interruptions and snide comments were so childish that it was hard to watch.

To be fair, both attacked each other personally. Hell, Biden called him a clown on multiple occasions.
Biden tried to play tough guy a couple of times and just got bitch-slapped. He pointed his finger at Trump and started to go into a diatribe about what a great military person his son was. Trump asked "Which son?", to which Biden replied "Beau". Trump slammed home the point by saying "I never met Beau, but hunter got kicked out of the military because ha had a cocaine habit". Biden wilted and went into a sympathy routine about his son having a drug problem.
Biden uses his dead wife, daughter and son as a shield from attacks and to try to draw sympathy from voters. Trump just turned the subject to the derelict son & hammered away.
Is anyone in the media going to fact check Bidens denial that Hunter received money from foreign companies & people while his dad was VP?

Facts don't matter to our electorate. It's all about style.
Watch the market tank tomorrow. That'll give an idea how trump did.

Is there any criticism of Chris Wallace other than Bick’s remark?

I caught the last half of the debate and it was tough to watch. Hard to imagine that either side convinced any of their base to defect but if anyone picked up any undecided voters it was Biden...trump did nothing to help himself in this debate.

Facts don't matter to our electorate. It's all about style. I would say that facts do matter and that's why trump is having such a difficult time. The facts don't show him in a good light so he has to deny those facts.
