Month 9 and I still only know 1 person who had COVID. Same here. The question I've asked a number of people over the past several months is this: If it wasn't for the media reporting about COVID, would you even know that it existed?The answer I always get is "no." If this was really as deadly and widespread as hyped up (outside the very elderly and nursing homes)--with potential danger lurking around the corner--everyone would know at least a few people who had died or been hospitalized; you'd be hearing in your neighborhood, or among co-workers or family members, about this epidemic of a mysterious and deadly disease hitting all sorts of random people. But you don't hear such stories. At all. |

You must know people who haven't seen any store shelves bare of toilet paper, or people wandering around with masks, or stores and restaurants closed...are they all blind or just incredibly stupid? |

I know one person, our Pastors wife...
She is THE reason our church has even followed Jabba the Huts (our governor) draconian mandates. They have been Uber careful, yet she came down with symptoms last week.
I’m sure the dog must have brought it in...

Why in the world would I take a vaccine with a 90% effectiveness rate when my survival rate without the vaccine is 99.95%?

Apples and oranges. The 99.95% is the survival rate IF YOU GET INFECTED, although you might get sick and be hospitalized. The 90% is the immunity against infection rate. The first tells you what your chances are of surviving a car accident. The second is the rate of preventing the accident itself.

The point is that the possible negative side effects of the vaccine outweigh the almost infinitesimal odds of dying of COVID. I ain't taking it. And do you really think this vaccine will be 90% effective, when the seasonal flu shot is no better than 50% effective on a yearly basis? |

And no it's not nearly that effective... I think the makers of the vaccine are Democrats. I think you'll get leprosy from it...whatever you do don't take the vaccine or let anyone in your family take it. Get your medical advice from Twitter. |
