Might just be jealousy speaking, but I’ll bet he ain’t going nowhere until he’s ready. Agreed. It only takes about 1.5 million voters to get a recall on the ballot. But California has 4.7 million Republicans and almost 9 million Democrats. So Newsom ain't going anywhere. And even if he were removed, it's likely some other braindead leftwing empty suit like Antonio Villaraigosa would get voted in to replace him. Yes and No. The likelihood of a Gray Davis moment is slim. So no, but what took Davis down was a strange moment in time when peoples pocket books were getting hammered by his inane policies. So I can't count out "yes". I will say this, I too have taken around a couple ballots and it has been easy peasy getting people to sign, these are times filled with anger and in these times people want and need to take that anger out. Newsom is in the crosshairs. Also note, I despise the guy, and even a ballot accomplishment will go a long way, being recalled is like being impeached, its a lead weight you must carry on your resume. On a national scale this could or should sink ol' gains Presidential dreams.

SK, I assume you were taking those ballots around in Newport Beach or Corona del Mar, where it should be easy to get signatures. Those areas aren't exactly typical California demographics. And Gavin's presidential dreams have always been just wet ones.

At least you guys stand a chance. I don’t know the numbers, but the entire state is controlled by Chicago and Cook County. Our votes downstate literally do not matter.
Further, twisted legislators have instituted rules that have made it highly improbable anyone will ever be impeached. Our best bet is to catch someone in gross malfeasance, and try him (or her) in criminal court.

I was going to put this is HS Sport section but it applies here as well and will get more views..., if he caves like this at a snap of the finger, his henchmen have warned him the noose is real and its getting a bit tighter.

Don't forget, he has another ace up his sleeve. If he feels the heat is getting to close, he can name himself as Kamala's replacement in the U.S. Senate. This fuck is holding all the cards.

In a sick sorta way I kinda would welcome that...., remove his arsenal from the state control and let he and Kamala represent what California governing are all about in DC.... that would be an epic fail that as much as I do not root for our demise these are desperate times and those two would both so screw the pooch that a real revolution an American way could take place.

Oops. I forgot an eminently forgettable appointment. The pressure will be on Diane Feinstein to retire and allow Newsom to name himself as her replacement.

Newsom could name himself and break the glass ceiling that until now has prevented jelly-heads from being Senators.

This poll out of BERKELEY of all places spells more trouble....
Gov. Newsom’s approval rating drops to 31 percent: Poll by Bethany Blankley, The Center Square | February 03, 2021 08:00 AM
A new poll conducted by the University of California at Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies found that Gov. Gavin Newsom's job approval rating plummeted by 18 percentage points in three months. In October, he had a 49% approval rating; in January it dropped to 31%.
Also, 36% of respondents said they support the recall effort against Newsom, which has gained popularity among Democrats.
Roughly 31% of those polled said Newsom has done an excellent or good job in handling the coronavirus, down from 49% in September. Only 22% of respondents gave a favorable response to the state’s vaccine rollout.
The poll was conducted online and included more than 10,000 registered voters. Conducted during the last week of January in both English and Spanish, it’s margin of error is +/- 2 percentage points.

Must be fake or an improperly administered survey: I don’t believe they legitimately found 31% of respondents who approve of that megalomaniac.
