If Trump had a scintilla of class, he's still president and we don't have this current shit show. And we'd still have a majority in the Senate. We lost those two Georgia Senate seats because he couldn't restrain himself from lashing out at everything Georgian. |

President Binden's speech about MAGA Republicans was a heads up that the DOJ will be charging Trump with a crime very soon and possibly arresting him. Both sides will go nuts. The deep state can not allow the midterms to take place.

The same thing could happen much closer to home. I'm sure large majorities of Los Angeles and San Francisco counties would be willing to vote to become part of "Greater Cuba" and force the state to redraw their county borders to make them part of that island paradise. |

I guess we've always been divided by our values. Just haven't had to see as much of it before now that we've got social media.

I guess we've always been divided by our values. Yes, we have always had political and social differences, but only twice before to this extent. The first time led to a civil war that killed over 600,000 Americans. The second was the late 1960's and early 1970's when many believe the counterculture movement came close to causing the unraveling of America. The difference between that time 50 years ago and now is that the hippies and their counterculture movement never controlled almost all institutions of American life -- the news media, the entertainment business, professional sports, major corporations, education and many others. What we are living through now is probably the greatest threat to our way of life since Lee surrendered to Grant. |

Youth International Party or Yippies
Black Panthers of Bobby Seale and Huey Newton
Weather Underground or Weathermen
None of those groups had anything to do with peace and love, but rather they were about violence and revolution. The Weathermen openly campaigned for a new political party to overthrow the federal government. People remember Flower Power, Woodstock and Haight-Ashbury, but things were much more sinister than that. |

I had forgotten that we got fairly deep into this subject a few years ago here. I'm really not opposed to much, if any of the proposals listed on the site I copied on the first page of this.
Don't think we'd need to get separate currencies. The liberals might not even want the military despite being very quick to use it.
