I totally understand your point MDDad, I too am on edge with the idea that our fundmental institutions are under such attack and possible fundamental change(s). You only have to look back to Obama, he made that promise and I have no doubt he still is at least half the helm of what is going behind closed doors.
I also understand RSM as well, as if this isn't the easiest ticket to frame! This is the farthest left ticket in our history and that in itself is alarming. It needs to fail Hugely & Bigly!!
It will be interesting now to see what prominent Jews, groups and/or organizations step forward and endorse the pro Israel ticket in Trump-Vance.

I try very hard not be an alarmist, but perhaps today's selection of Tim Walz as Kamala Harris's running mate is cause for concern. While I agree with you that it is cause for concern should they win, I believe her choice is not a cause for concern in helping her win. I agree. While cementing the party's position as a hardcore, radically socialist party, her choice likely will cost her in November (ignoring for a moment the Democrats' abilty to commit election fraud and the GOP's inability to counter it). It's still shocking to see how a minority of radicals have hijacked the party in only four short years and converted it into something almost unrecognizable from what it used to be.Even you must agree that Trump hit the nail on the head when he responded to her choice with 2 words - "Thank You". That is one of those succint quotes that should go down in history. I'm surprised he could muster the restraint to not follow those two words with "bitch!" I couldn't have.
And on another topic, more and more conventional wisdom seems to believe that Barack Obama was arguably the lead wizard behind the curtain of those anonymous puppetmasters pulling Joe Biden's strings. And he is almost certainly behind Kamala's selection as successor, the rejection of Shapiro, and the continued siding of the party with Hamas over Israel. History may well record that he and George Soros were two of the more sinister, divisive and destructive figures in recent American history.

I believe this was started during the Obama years, put on hold during the Trump SHOCK win in 2020. Was put back in place under Biden. I cant help to think that this Walz pick, one that is so far from center is either self inflicted suicide or the Dems really see a/the path to winning and what a coup to get a extreme progressive team in the White House, something Sanders and Warren dreamed of.

Trying not to feed into the frenzy and propaganda campaign stowed upon us by the MSM & Hollywood once again, however this sentiment has played out in my mind over the last 24 hours, the Democrats can do no wrong because the media has their backs, the globalist donors are at their beck & call and they have mastered this game once and for all..... the voting machine whether on the ground, in the mail or in the big blue cities, they knowing know they can win because they run it all... and like 2020 in the middle of the night when everything changed, they simply coined the phrase "election deniers" and that was that....
There is NO WAY this ticket could slip in otherwise.....not only is this the furthest left out of touch ticket ever, both candidates are proven to be inept at governing anything!
Yet here we are....

I agree. Give me a break, Kamala and Walz are real candidates for the President and VP? The media acts like they are viable and are in the running. Running for what?
We have all seen the videos of Kamala. It is not about being ready. She will never be ready. She is an idiot. And then Walzs' claim to fame is turning MN into a sanctuary state for "gender reaffirming care" for minors. I saw a video the other day were they were so prideful they had a six year-old boy change to a girl - with the parents consent in this case. But they have become, with his leadership, the go to state without parental consent. Would anyone hear boast about that?
Viable candidates? Only in 1984, I mean 2024. All you have to do is count extra votes in five cities, and they have the election. The media will say it was close, butt we all know...

The Democrats could run a ticket of Curly and Shemp from the Three Stooges and the media would make them look like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Some days I can't believe what I'm seeing, and if these two clowns win in November, I don't see how the GOP can ever win another national election.

Trump has agreed now to 3 debates, ball in Kamala's court. Cant see how they go 3 months and deny the country of not any, in the least just 1.
I think the GOP got played into accepting the Biden debate, it was a set-up to have Joe fail, they lied for years he was sharp as a tack, ((maybe a Tic-Tac), then they put him out there like a zombie, probably aided my medication which gave them their cover to pull the coup of all coups'. Had the GOP & Trump waited till after the primary would have been impossible for such a change on the ticket....., comping at the bit to demolish Biden, and demolish Trump did, but that was an over eager move that now the Democrats have seized.
I think we have to look past the DNC Convention by at least a week..... Its all about September now and of course, SURPRISE OCTOBER!!
Meanwhile, Stolen Valor and Walz has legs and it looks really bad.... are they tanking Harris in her pick and gonna make another change come convention? Would "Mike & Taylor" be better than "Giggler & Snitch"?
Don't believe for one minute we have seen the maximum crazy....., its coming.

I though Gavin would be in there SK, but it will be Harris I think. She has the delegates. We will see.
I am not sure about that. I think he was a perfect candidate. They just didn't have control over his failing. He is perfect for the "globalists" because he is a fascist. Kamala, I think if full on commie. Perhaps she will end up being an empty suit too.

IMO. Trump looked terrible in last nights debate. I agree. If you had listened to the debate on the radio, it would have seemed pretty even, except that it was a WWE 3-on-1 handicap match. But on television, it doesn't matter what the candidates say, it only matters what kind of impression they make, and Trump did not come off well. Harris looked polished, prepared and articulate, even though everything that came out of her mouth was lies and bullshit. Trump looked old, tired, angry and flustered, and he pulled out the same old complaints he's used for years. Honestly, he didn't look like he's got four more years in him, and J.D. Vance is nowhere near ready to be president. I think the day is coming when Trump should be laid on the same compost heap as Joe Biden, and I'm afraid that day is less than four years away. I'm also more convinced than ever that a ticket of Tulsi Gabbard and RFK Jr. (or RFK Jr. and Gabbard) would crush Trump like a cockroach, and might win 48 or 49 states from Harris.

Again, why do republicans, the GOP, conservatives serve up easy targets for liberals to hit? One more time, ambushed, ganged up on and attacked. I've been saying for many cycles, this debate format must change, the American people deserve it. That was a travesty last night. Megyn Kelley nails it..
Harris repeated old lies that have been TOTALLY debunked, no comment from moderators, Harris flat out lied over and over without ONE fact checked. I fell out of my chair when she stated there are no states that allow late term or partial birth abortion, LIE! Again with 6 police officers were killed during January 6th? WTF LIE!! Only person to die was Ashely Babbit. Both Moderators know these to be lies, the were silent. As Journalist, they should have CRUSHED her right there.
The creeps at Woke Disney/ABC must be held accountable.

IMO. Trump looked terrible in last nights debate. I would not call it terrible, I would call it below average. Trump never has been great at traditional debating, but those of us who follow politics fairly closely forget that is what differentiated him from all of the other candidates in the 2016 primaries. Trump is Trump, his positives & defects are baked in. His mistakes last night were allowing Kamala to bait him away from the subjects at hand. The same narcissism that drives him in a way none of us can identify with is what was used against him last night. Great debate strategy by Harris, but will the general public be swayed one way or another based on ones debating skills? If they were, we would be at the end of Ted Cruz's second term. I'm getting the vibe that all of the things that those of us who follow politics closely are either celebrating or lamenting today really don't move the needle with the casual voter. What we may see as Trump missing an opportunity to make a point and allowing emotion to flare up is most likely seen as passion from the non-followers of politics.
