Los Al won't be playing their home games at Cerritos College again this year - first 2 games at the high school, and then...who knows? Updated Covid protocols at the college seem to have been the culprit.

Wouldn't be all that challenging to add seating to make it viable for home games there on a regular basis.
Need a better scoreboard and a pressbox.

Score last night was deceiving. We didn't play very well, and for some reason, Bakersfield kept kicking it to us. We won't beat Lincoln if we play like that.
What happened with you guys v Downey?
Hard to believe NH & HB both lost, and FV won.

Doesn't appear deceiving...., although Bakersfield isn't much of a program.
We had a great first half, lousy second half. Our score got tighter due to some flukey plays, Downey had a bizarre pix 6 where a lineman got a 42 yard run back. Also Downey scored late on second string D. Not sure how good Downey is, its hard to gage all this after the past two seasons.
We also lost early to injury, one nagging one from practice last week, Even Sanders Jr RB couldn't go, he is pretty brutal runner. A sophomore stepped up. Great first varsity performance for him.
That said, yes shocker, FV wins and HB and NH lose. Can't believe I made our arch rival my POW. They Looked me, stupid Sea King!!
Also shocked a bit how bad we did here as a whole... your up next week BICK, select wisely!

What an experience up at Veterans Stadium in Clovis last night v. Buchanan.
8 lead changes, electric atmosphere, full stands, patriotic crowd. Felt like what I remember as a HS student. Felt like America.

What an experience up at Veterans Stadium in Clovis last night v. Buchanan. 8 lead changes, electric atmosphere, full stands, patriotic crowd. Felt like what I remember as a HS student. Felt like America. Thanks for sharing and reporting that Bick...., I can share and report exactly the same....., down in San Clemente they always serve up a great environment, It was "Friday Night Lights the way it use to be and having it such a close game all night made it even more on your feet fun and suspense. It didn't have the scoring the epic 2019 game did but it was pins & needles for both sides and supporters all game long. That said, the environment as you described, the hosts had a nice 9/11 moment and program, the entire game was dedicated to the military, first responders and their families, they even had 13 chairs and flags behind the end zone for the fallen Afghanistan patriots. As the national anthem was sung a helicopter flyover by the OC Sheriff Department added that small town football night feeling. Yes, felt like America. Here are some shots I took that night, it was great to be back on that field and in that enviroment that reminded you of things past...  ![]()  |

Ya pretty cool for the league, as we see with the higher ups in high school football their is an audience for this, now how do these guys get paid to produce this!
Hey Maxpreps released CIF-SS rankings today, looking good SUNSET LEAGUE, both Los Al and CDM ahead of a South Coast League team....!! LA #8, MV #9, CDM #15, SC #KnockedOut !! How great a game would an ALL STAR SUNSET vs ALL STAR SOUTH COAST game be.......! Sunset by 7 !
