He should be finding a contractor to build condos if he's looking to pull kids away from MD & Bosco. Limited supply of D1 kids out there. LOL! Are kids a commodity now?

Elite talent is clearly a commodity. Here's an idea... Take the rest of the remaining kids, and name an all star team that could beat either MD or Bosco. I'll start... QB - Malachi Nelson RB - Damian Henderson WR - Makai Lemon WR - Tiger Bachmeier (Murrieta Valley) WR - Malachi Riley (Cen 10) TE - Jamari Johnson (Inglewood) OL - Eugene Brooks (Sierra Canyon) OL - Raymond Pulido (Apple Valley) OL - Elishah Jackett (El Modena) OL - Tavake Tuikolovatu (Summit Fontana) OL - Kahlee Tafai (Leuzinger) Def DL - Collins Acheampong (StM) DL - Cameron Brandt (Sierra Canyon) DL - Ashton Sanders (Cathedral) DL - Deijon Laffitte (Colony Ontario) LB - Ikenasio Mikaele (Poly) LB - Owen Chambliss (Cen 10) LB - Isaiah Chisom (Chaminade) CB - Roderick Pleasant (Serra) CB - Daylen Austin (Poly) S - Christian Pierce (Rancho Cuc) S - Justin Johnson (Inglewood)

You could compile a select all-star team from the #3 through #10 teams in the Southern Section and they still don't beat Mater Dei or Bosco.
That's how ridiculous this has become.

That's what I'm trying to do. Add some candidates, and we'll see.

@bick, you didn't learn much from watching this season unfold..., you can cherry pick all the skill position guys you want but if you can't match MD/SJB on the line its all a mute effort.

Yes. I'm trying to see if I could find enough guys who could compete up front.

Yes. I'm trying to see if I could find enough guys who could compete up front. I notice that from your list above, there is only ONE kid from another Trinity League school--and most are from public schools. What that tells me is that the "Trinity League is the best in the nation" hype is largely based on two schools. And I say this from within a TL school. Other than Servite's run in 2021, no other team in the Trinity League has cracked the top national rankings or has made the CIF D1 semifinals--or even been close to getting there--since 2011. The best run anyone else has had was JSerra in 2018--and they were no threat to topple MD or Bosco that year. A few quarterfinals appearances from the other schools, where they were generally blasted. The "private school advantage" has been levelled out, and this perception is largely kept alive due to disproportianate talent acquisition operations at Mater Dei and Bosco, who no longer represent private schools in general or even the rest of the Trinity League. They have been running college-type programs in their philosophy and mentality for years now and should not be compared to any other HSFB program. They are essentially IMG clones on the West Coast. Take them out of the equation and we've actually got a pretty good balance of parity in the Southern Section between private and public and even various geographic regions around OC, LA, Ventura, Riverside, and SB Counties.

Bick, you didn't specify the geographic area this all-star team should come from, so I'll assume it's Southern California.
QB - Malachi Nelson, Los Alamitos, 5* QB - Nilo Iamaleava, Warren, 5* RB - Jordan Washington, Long Beach Jordan, 4* RB - Roderick Robinson, SD Lincoln, 4* WR - Makai Lemon, Los Alamitos, 5* WR - Ryan Pellum, Long Beach Millikan, 4* WR - Aaron Butler, Calabasas, 4* WR - Jordan Anderson, Long Beach Millikan, 4* TE - Jamari Johnson, Inglewood, 4* OL - Justin Tauanuu, Huntington Beach, 4* OL - Raymond Pulido, Apple Valley, 4* OL - Elijah Jackett, El Modena, 3* OL - Tavake Tuikolovatu, Summit, 3* OL - Jonah Rodriguez, SD Madison, 3*
DL - T.A. Cunningham, Los Alamitos, 4* DL - Collins Acheampong, Santa Margarita, 4* DL - Cameron Brandt, Sierra Canyon, 4* DL - David Peevy, SD Lincoln, 4* LB - Madden Faraimo, Cathedral Catholic, 5* LB - Noah Mikhail, Bonita, 5* LB - Weston Port, San Juan Hills, 4* LB - Dylan Williams, Long Beach Poly, 4* DB - Jett White, Orange, 4* DB - Rodrick Pleasant, Serra, 4* DB - Daylen Austin, Long Beach Poly, 4* DB - Dakoda Fields, Serra, 4*
Whether or not this team could beat Mater Dei or St. John Bosco would depend on how well they are coached and how well they can mesh and play together as a team.

That was a point I was making on another thread somewhere. Trinity League is really a 2 horse show. The other schools get to play in higher playoff divisions by virtue of playing those 2 and increasing their power rating. I don't see how any elite player not attending Bosco or MD would want to play in the Trinity. I was kinda shocked to only see one kid from the Trinity that would make the all star team from "the rest".
