And MDDad, isn't that your boy 19-29 172 yds. 1 TD 2 INT QB Rate 64.2 (oops) Miller Moss.....? I'm not sure why you would say that. My last name isn't Moss, and Miller is not my boy. And I say this with all due respect: Corona del Mar had an excellent season, going undefeated and winning a state bowl game. They also had three truly great players on their roster who hopefully will go on to have outstanding careers in college. I realize you're still excited about that, but you've been hyping these three kids nonstop on this forum and TOB for almost a year now, and it may be getting a little tiresome. Don't you think maybe it's time to tone it down a little bit, since the season ended two months ago? I'll take away my assumption after all your years of posting as MaterDeiDad that a player being recruited by Mater Dei is biologically not your boy. But if this fine student/athlete QB Miller Moss is a player that a national powerhouse program like MD wants then surely he is a great player and kid. However, hypocritically he is not much of an opposition if he plays at another school according to you as schools like CDM "don't play anybody"...? And you have gone from claiming CDM had simply "very good" players to now "excellent" players. OK, I'll give it a rest.

Chandler Fincher was a HUGE part of his teams undefeated state championship run, the often overlooked defense led by guys like this are getting their due. From one fork to another, I think Coach Edwards is gonna like this young man! www.hudl.com/v/2CZEhHwww.hudl.com/v/2CZEhH

"Preferred Walk-On" or PWO, as did Schlom at UCLA. It's a guaranteed roster spot, one that for most would be a blessing, a chance, the shot.

Saw and liked this on Twitter. Very cool stuff. It's a great story I hope to see in the press soon..., younger brother Tommy a JR. S was a huge contributor to the 2019 undefeated perfect season just like his older brother was.... not sure that has ever happened, two brothers, one school two CIF STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS w/ perfect seasons. On page two of this thread I posted the Tommy Griffin story.... the Griffins have a long CDM history. I think you will see Tommy leading a very good defense for the Sea Kings come next season....

Nice write up on the projections at TE for the Huskies of Washington...., hopefully this Spring/Summer time loss doesn't become longer. Washington football: Can Redman start in 2020?thehuskyhaul.com/2020/03/30/washington-football-can-redman-start-2020/
Washington football has a long history of using their tight ends, and is this true freshman their next big star at the position?
Over the last decade, Washington football has become one of the premier schools for developing tight ends, placing five tight ends in the NFL over the last 10 years (this is before the 2020 NFL Draft where Hunter Bryant will more than likely become the sixth). Cade Otton and Devin Culp are two exciting options who will probably in line to take the majority of snaps in the upcoming season, but with the amount of multiple tight end sets the Huskies use, a third tight end will rotate through the lineup a lot.
The most intriguing option at the position is true freshman Mark Redman out of Corona Del Mar (Calif.) High School. The 6’6, 240 pounder has the body type that’ll be physically ready to compete from day one to go with elite pass-catching skills and incredible athleticism. There’s usually a huge learning curve when it comes to blocking at the college level, but with his size and natural power, along with proficiency that he displayed in high school as a run blocker, Redman has the skill set to end up like George Kittle.

www.hudl.com/video/3/6125373/5dfec72b688ed508b49caaedUnlike Kittle, if new tight ends coach Derham Cato and the rest of the offensive staff can get the most out of Redman during his time at Washington, don’t be surprised if Redman ends up as a first-round draft pick. His combination of size, speed, and strength is a matchup nightmare for cornerbacks, safeties, and linebackers alike, and with the emphasis the NFL has been putting on complete tight ends, Redman has what it takes to be one of the best at the college, and eventually, professional level.
When you look at the best tight ends the Huskies have had over the last decade, Redman has the physical ability to end up being the best of the bunch. Strictly from a physical standpoint, his best Husky comp is Austin Sefariain-Jenkins, the school’s only winner of the John Mackey Award, given annually to the nation’s best tight end. With a strong summer camp (if it were to take place that is), there’s a good chance Redman displays the traits to overtake senior Jacob Kizer on the depth char

Now the LA TIMES is copying my reporting.... Corona del Mar’s Scott Giuliano commits to Harvard footballCorona del Mar tight end Scott Giuliano makes a 19-yard catch in a Sunset League game against Fountain Valley at Huntington Beach High on Oct. 17, 2019.(Don Leach / Staff Photographer)Corona del Mar High junior tight end Scott Giuliano has committed to play football at Harvard University, he said Thursday.
Giuliano becomes the program’s first member of the Class of 2021 to commit to play in college. Seven graduating seniors have committed or signed, including future Washington quarterback Ethan Garbers, the Daily Pilot Football Dream Team Player of the Year.
Giuliano, who is 6-foot-5 and 225 pounds, was the second tight end this past fall for CdM (16-0), helping the Sea Kings win the CIF Southern Section Division 3 and CIF State Division I-A titles.
“He proved to be an exceptional blocker in the run game, a substantial receiving threat in the pass game, and picked up the nuances of the tight end position so very quickly,” CdM coach Dan O’Shea said in a text message. “We look forward to him becoming a featured part of our 2020 offense at CdM, while becoming a rising leader within our program as a scholar and outstanding man of character.”

Well its not only about "FOOTBALL" but CDM Athletics, bee a long time coming... a LOOOOOOONG time! Thinking back to when I ran track here on decomposed granite and shin splints were the norm. I'm gonna kinda miss the field sports practice in mud, green grass stains defying the fact you actually played. And to think how CDM Football had to operate with no home field nor place of practice, borrowing other school facilities, using city parks, always on the road. Those days appear over. CdM adds two turf fields, new track with athletics facilities upgrade www.latimes.com/socal/daily-pilot/sports/story/2021-01-28/cdm-athletics-facilities-receive-upgrade
Corona del Mar coaches and staff, from left, Jeff Perry, Bryan Middleton, GW Mix, Dennis Wilbanks, Damien O’Brien, Dan O’Shea and Bill Sumner pose for a portrait on the new track at Corona del Mar High School on Thursday. (Scott Smeltzer / Staff Photographer) “It’s a lot more predictable,” GW Mix, who has headed the boys’ lacrosse program since 2010, said. “Trust me, we called it the Magic Dirt, in lacrosse here. We won a lot of games on this field because we had practiced on it and we were comfortable playing on it, and many of our opponents weren’t.
“The Magic Dirt was good to us, but we’re excited just to have a facility [and] the fences where the balls won’t go all over the place. We won’t lose 20 lacrosse balls at practice.”
