More and more we forget in high school sport, that its about what the classroom brings to the student, and what the student leaves with for life, with or without sport. CDM Football, shows up for the classroom as much as the weight room. Way to go Kings, #1 in academics for large schools.

Perhaps even more amazing about that list is that Santa Barbara HS is #1 in SIX SPORTS!

Well the news release is out, can't express enough gratitude for the 12 seasons Coach Dan O' Shea put in at Corona del Mar High School. His success on the field has been nothing short of stellar and his record as coach of the Sea Kings proves just that. The records, the CIF playoff appearances, CIF-SS Championship and a CIF State Championship. Yet there are two more things that can't be left unmentioned, under his tenure, CDM Football academic achievement has little competition, academics awards at CDM Athletics are equally if not more important than what happens on the playing field. Last but not least, Coach O' Shea's dominance in the "Battle of the Bay" will never be forgotten! Thanks Coach for the ride, win & defeat.

Looks like O'Shea is headed to St. Margaret's. If true, this sounds like a step backwards. So what happened to quitting to spend more time with his family?

Yessir, rehab went well and I'm back to my paintball season. Gave it a good work out last week chasing a bunch of 20/30 somethings and shooting them in the back as they ran away. Thanks for asking. Happy Holidaze to you all.
