I long ago concluded that VP is almost completely incapable of distinguishing between opinion and facts, or of making any comments based on reasoned argument, doing simple research, or examining evidence--so I did the sensible thing and BLOCKED him. Thus I largely avoid the temptation of trying to respond to his spitballs. Now, having said that, any reasonable person will not totally dismiss his intellectual opponents, lest he succumb to hubris.
This BLOCKing feature requires being logged on in order to take effect, so if I happen to glance at the threads on our website without logging on then ALL posts are visible; the result is that every once in a while, I unwittingly get a look at these BLOCKED posts without requiring another member to quote them in order to make them visible.
Such was the case earlier today, and my nagging conscience was triggered to consider the thought that "maybe this is the day he makes a point that forces me to re-examine my assumptions as well as my own biases? Maybe a point has been made which I overlooked due to my own pride or inattention?"
So I looked at couple of these responses today and concluded....that....today is clearly not that day. No substance--as usual. That day may never arrive, as members with much longer track records with Philly can attest to.
Before I BLOCKED him months ago, I said I would not respond to him on this thread topic, as he displayed no knowledge of the facts, the law, or the broader context of the Flynn case. His usual deflection or whining "but he pled guilty!" and calling Flynn a "criminal" is stupid and lazy and merits no response.
I will promise everyone here that I'll change my avatar to "I'm with Her" if Flynn spends a single day in jail. He will eventually be exonerated officially--as he already is in the mind of most fair minded people who have actually taken the time to study this case.

Some predictions from someone who has been deep into the granular details of this case for a long time. Sounds about right to me.
All of you-know-who's posts on this topic fall among the masses of low-information lefties who populate Prediction 3. To take a fair minded look at this case (outside the politics) would be to threaten a self-satisfied and smug narrative that has been hardened into stone for close to half the voters, and that would thus be far too psychologically challenging for comfort.
